Solo-Q is a much wanted game mode. Solo Shuffle showed that, I even do solo shuffle now when I HATE arena’s to get 1800.
I’m trying to get 1800 in Rated BG’s but the groups are all over the place, either all above 2000 or yolo’s. From 1600-1800 they’re always full and have hunters already.
Solo-Q brings more participation. No gatekeeping, everyone can join, on any class/spec they want.
Edit:
Again, the point here is, the Brawl will be messed up if they allow non-rated rules in it.
LMAO. You actually think people don’t do rated BGs because they can’t use consumables there. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

no, i don’t. but do you actually think people would avoid pvp because of consumable usage?
I don’t see the need to disable the consumables for the brawl version because as others have pointed out, it’ll be naturally disabled once the rated version comes out.
I get what you’re saying about, “if they want meaningful data”, but the fact is, from what I’ve seen so far about this solo queue battleground is it’s already vastly different from your normal RBG. It’s an 8v8, games are sped up to be finished at a faster pace, and mounted movement speed is increased passively beyond normal 100%. There’s also the new power ups, one that provides a massive absorption shield, one that provides stealth and movement speed increase, cooldown recovery rate increased, shadow sight…
Blizzard can already filter and see what is being used in battlegrounds. Blizzard is just testing to see if everything works properly — the queueing, the queue times, these new additional power ups and faster paced games, all the works. They aren’t testing to see what item, that can’t even be used in rated anyway once it comes out, will be broken for the brawl.
When Solo Shuffle came out as a brawl in Shadowlands, there was a passive aura that increased your ilvl to a certain amount. Wanna know what I did just for the hell of it? Crafted a bunch of Zereth Mortis gear with the thorns optional reagent on my warlock and priest. Full stack, rings, neck, etc. Normally? Trash, but because the ilvl scaling, it was big busted.
Did that affect Blizzards testing? No, it didn’t. They aren’t testing for that stuff. It’s not gonna be available in rated PvP, doesn’t matter. The people using the consumables in the brawl are gonna be in for a rude awakening when they realize they can’t use it in the rated version anyway.

10.2 is going to be lasting for a very long time and it will have rating attached to it. It will turn into which team is using the most consumables and many will use everything they can because it carries rating, even if it won’t give rewards, titles or achievements.
It will be a total joke of a gaming format. The only reason random BGs aren’t is because most people don’t care enough to be fully stocked up with consumables and items. That changes when a rating is attached to it.
If it’s gonna be lasting for a long time, what’s the harm in letting people have their fun?
Let em’ cook. You’ll have every single expansion from here on out for your rated solo queue BGs that don’t include consumables. This is temporary.

Because consumables scale differently with different class’s abilities. Blizz doesn’t balance around saltwater potions. I can pop a saltwater and so can you, but you’re going to get a lot less value out of one than I can.
Because it’s not intended depth of gameplay. Blizzard doesn’t want to appropriately balance consumables, world buffs, professions, etc. So they disable them in Rated Play.
IMO, I’d like it if there was less in all instanced PvP. It just creates more key binds and is a gold sink.

Blizzard doesn’t want PvPers to be forced into engineering on every single toon.
blizzard doesn’t even want to balance pvp, they only balance around 3v3 because 99% of their staff are pvers and couldn’t balance pvp if their job depended on it.
can you really consider yourself a pvper if you don’t have engi?
Rated PVP? 100%
1000%
Unrated/Random BGs? Who cares.
EBGs? No one outside of EBG communities even acknowledges their existence. Literally a niche mini-game like pet battles.
But Rated PVP? 100% no one would play anymore.

Tailoring nets are the truth
This is not a thing people do this expansion, and for the most part everyone seems to really love not having to do that.
You’re really gonna have to set a solid goal post for that one. A lot of people who focus on world pvp and random BGs take engineering. But the people who focus more on Rated BGs and arena don’t really bother unless they REALLY want the pure state bracers and helm.
I feel like at this point you’re just trolling because you’re getting dogpiled by literally everyone calling you out for your absurd opinion.

i would wager the regular epic community scene is larger than the RBG scene. we get 40 mans going on a nightly basis, a lot of high end players in those 40 mans as well, i’ve been in plenty of 5 man groups where i am the only one without a glad title or better. basically once you show players how to properly play epics, they get hooked almost immediately.
and the rate and which people adopt consumables is astounding, rather than complain about being countered, high end players are burning through consumables finding all the best plays.
IMO if they allowed consumables in rated battlegrounds but not arenas, that would be a good compromise as it still allows arena to be where pure class mastery is displayed and proven.
Fortunately, BGB isn’t looking to draw players from either. (Unless you count the yolos)
uhdks had a bis trinket last season that is still bis this season. and don’t tell me everyone is going to just pass on that 2h leggo next season.
not really, alts made just for arena won’t have engi obviously, but if you go to that particular player’s main, odds are it has engi. every pvper worth their salt knows about gliders and nitro boosts.
you call this a dogpile? and you aren’t backing up your opinion with anything, im at least making arguments that pvpers understand.
