They’ve done it before. I’m guessing some food or packaging regulation makes putting the code inside the bag too much trouble and stolen codes are an acceptable loss.
Or they could be that dumb. I don’t know.

When does this promotion run until? I want the mount and the pets, but I don’t necessarily need 36 cans of Mt. Dew all at once.

Strong chance that’s the case. I highly doubt the codes are reusable.
I woke up extra early to vote, after that I decided to head down to my local 7-11. The reg. bags of Doritos were in the front, and hidden to the side were the War Within bags! 100 points for each bag, so I bought 6, bc the mount costs 600 points. Each code worked just fine, but it only allows you to enter in 500 points per day. So I’ll have to wait until tomorrow before I add in the last one. Hope this helps someone, check out your local 7-11. Oh and I heard this is for US only. I’m sorry to anyone who lives in EU. I think the promo is running until Jan 1st or something like that, not positive on the exact date in Jan though. Prob. up until the anniversary goes away though, or at least that’s what I’m thinking. Oh yeah if you do the secrets of azeroth anniversary quests, I read that it will award the Felcycle bike, which looks just like the Dorito bike, just that it’s fel green. Anyway, that’s the scoop, good luck guys. Oh p.s. if you’re worried about someone stealing the codes off of the Doritos, it’s a long azz code, and kinda hard to really read, so it would take someone awhile to stand there & copy it or take a pic. Happy trails.

Yes they do. The way these things work anymore is that the code doesn’t get activated until the bar code is scanned. You technically can do what you said, but you are going to have to sit there and spam those codes.
I bought 12 bags, 2 of the first 7 said “duplicate code”. I capped at 5 bags today. So at least 2 of the 12 i purchased were already used.

Mt Dew doesn’t “go bad”. You could buy a can today and drink it this time next year and it will be just as good.
You guys are going through waaay too much trouble.
Why buy multiple bags of Doritos where, apparently, the codes might already be used when you can buy one 24 pack of dew and have 1000 pts.

2 of the game fuel 12 packs, 1 regular 12 pack and 1 bottle of purple thunder got me my 2700 points needed.

Well the mountain dew cases of cans the code is on the inside of the box (bought 24 pack or regular Mt Dew for $12 because I needed to buy Soda for a Party so 2 birds with one stone, careful opening boxes. The 24 cans of a Diablo 4 marked box gave me 1000 points).
Mountain Dew bottles the code is inside the cap so if the bottle isn’t even sealed don’t buy it.
As for the Doritos ya sketchy.
Because then I would have 24 cans of dew that I would need to dump out and recycle.
