Blizzard Nerfing Leveling After Global Release is a SCANDAL

Well they do not rely on players to test their game so there is that.

This is what a capitalist society looks like. People who pay more get more benefit.

instead of buying iphones every 6 months put money aside and buy early access so you enjoy the benefits, it was overpowered and glad they’re now adjusting it

Yeah, probably wasn’t their intent, but the optics aren’t great, are they?

whatever i level up just mining, i dont even need to kill a mob… so is you are not lvl 80 by now. you just dont know how to play

I think you need more things to fill out your day

That would make every tuning change a scandal in either direction. Be realistic

Can’t take your argument seriously as long as you are claiming the price of EA is $40. That’s ridiculous.

I try to apply Hanlon’s razor to stuff like this - never attribute to malice that which can best be explained by stupidity or incompetence.

But I agree, it is hard to believe their testing process is so bad this wasn’t a known issue or that they didn’t realize it was an issue in the first few hours and just didn’t bother to patch.

so im just going to wait for them to nerf dungeons. they design them with the intention of being playable for someone leveling 1-80, that means you hit 70 with questing greens, not end of expac purples and leggos. once the wave of geared level capped players from DF levels on, they will have to nerf it again so you can bring a normal toon in.

From what i have seen in blue posts the “leveling nerf” seems to be mostly targeting level locked lv70’s Powerleveling groups through dungeons (Like the level 20 trial accounts in remix). That aside the leveling is a bit to fast though, I was already max level before leaving the isle of dorn. Leaving three other zones worth of quests to grind through regardless of Xp.

While it seems on the surface that Blizzard may have intentionally planned this to boost early access sales for the next expansion I don’t believe that is the case.

The current dev team has no idea how to fix scaling (this has been a problem for quite some time) so I don’t think they would have the required knowledge or ability to actually pull off a stunt like this.

You’re saying it’s not malice, it’s incompetence?

I’m not sure that’s better.

This is a manufactured problem so they can sell you a solution. The know full well that early access players got the shortcut path with leveling and are trying to incentivize players into buying early access next time. Typical scum move that Blizzard is known for. It comes down to money.

its actually because after early release and everyone else joined, THEY COMPLAINED they where killing stuff to fast because of there ilvl. Not sure why people would complain about that or lvling to fast when most people prefer that…or thought they did.

You’re not understanding either. We are growing weaker and doing less damage the higher we get. we are doing far less at 80 than at 70.

The later levels aren’t changing much, the bigger impact is at early levels. Players were going too fast and hitting too hard, doing 10x the damage of others. Now they’ll just do 3x.

You were given the opportunity to pay for early access but you chose not to, that’s not really blizzard’s fault.

This my exact feelings. They did this with remix. They doubled down on scaling issues at high levels and said “get geared” instead of fixing it.

You should probably find a new hobby if you really believe the people making it are scum.
