Oh hey, pvp ruining pve again.
You shouldnât, gear/items that are changed remain on your character until you unequip it.
i dont think anyone should be punished⌠Bliz messed up, and they keep messing up. Its the same mistake over and over. This thread was ACTUALLY about a different set of greens. COMPLETELY separate to the ones now being talked about. lol
I disagree.
Blizzard messed up, yes.
However, knowing after the fact and choosing to use it in pvp content is intentionally screwing other players over.
Youâre asking a bunch of kids barely outta diapers to take responsibility. That wonât happen in any venue⌠You give a kid power, when heâs never known any-- when he learns the âadultsâ will TREMBLE before him-- heâs gonna use that power.
Then I hope that they arenât too shocked if they get a temp ban from it.
I will tell you, for a fact, that the worst offenders have multiple accounts just in case they do get banned⌠A couple seem to have some infinite money cheat too-- lol-- cuz they just keep name changing and transferring between servers and accounts.
But you are a DK, you should know you need to take a hit to survive.
Also no one is going to really care any of this took place, it didnât change anything in current content, itâs not like they could join a real PVP game and exploit some sort of power boost from being low level and dominating in PVP for easy Gladiator titles or something.
There was a problem, said problem did not affect end game content, Blizzard fixed said problem, problem solved.
Although I will agree, this should never have happened, but we all know Blizzard donât really check things, they canât, they need more paid staff because we also know that any players that find these bugs on the PTR are not reporting them, and why would they, they can abuse it when it goes live to get any advantage they can.
Well, no-- the problem was fixed with ONE SET of gear, but Blizzard COMPLETELY missed a separate set of gear, which is the set that Nisstyr is talking about.
If itâs not clear: Blizzard made the same mistake TWICE in one week.
What even is the problem? An under 70 player gets level 70 gear and goes on a rampage at level 60. What can they even do?
They can proofread a thing before publicly releasing it. I donât think thatâs asking a lot.
The fact that this is a re-occurring mistake they make⌠Odds are good it will be patched by Tuesday, but the whole thing just makes me shake my head.
Iâm not talking about Blizzard, what can a level 60 do with level 70 gear aside from make a mess of low level BGs?
I thought it was a genuine catchup mechanic. I didnât even know this was a bug. Iâd feel really bad if I got punished over something when all I did was see gear in the AH and buy it for the rogue I made.
To avoid confusion, the gear we are talking about are the greens dropping in Zaralek Caverns. This is one such piece of gear:
So, the issue hereâ
1: Itâs supposed to be Bop, and WAS BoP till the other stuff was hotfixed, and yet is coming up as BoE in-game, which means it can end up on the AH, despite what wowhead says.
2: At ilvl 376-379, it is also not scaling at all, unlike what wowhead says, and that completely changes the balance of the game at 60 when everyone was previously limited to ilvl 290-300ish gear (and thatâs if you WORKED for it).
3: The crazy secondary stats you get, clearly favor some classes more than others. Hunter damage output, for example, is even more ridiculous than it usually is.
It was there, but technically unusable until level 70 (equipped but red). Luckily my priest is a tailor so I just made her something.
Too bad they fixed it. I would have loved to have gotten a couple of 379 items for my leveling toons.
Its not fixed.
Surprised itâs that cheap. Cool. Thank you.
Yea, you can get some really nutty stats for a level 60. Keep in mind, the average leveler has like 30k-ish health, and I got 350k
I wish pvp was more statistically fair with little potential for exploits or power differences aside from level. Gear should be irrelevant for pvp imho much like Gear in more balanced FPS games are either non-existant or universally usesable. I know it would be detrimental for WoWs need for progression in all its modes, but lord knows it would be a big incentive for me to pvp more if i didnt have to worry about gear disparity.
