Blizzard needs to create a new archery class with no pets

I’m afraid logic won’t be real effective here.

So don’t use a pet? Aren’t there talents on the marksman tree that compensate for not using a pet? I don’t play my hunters often enough to remember.

They’re revamping the entire spec to be petless, using an eagle that shows up every once in a while for utility reasons.

People got upset that they were locked out of their pets.

So Blizz added a choice node just yesterday or something to allow people to use pets, but the spec won’t be designed around that and it will lose some damage.

A class built around engineers. Kind of like the gnome king or the end boss of Gnomeregan. Personally I think it is an odd request.

just don’t take the talent that allows you to keep the pet.

it’s a choice node, right? so take the other choice?

I don’t know why this upsets people, it sounds like a good compromise to me, everyone gets what they want.

Yes, i have read the Feedback, but my opinion doesn’t change.
MM Hunters can keep their pets and their pets damage too. In which is part of this flip flop i am talking about.

It’s called kissing booty. In which most politicians do just that to keep the voters happy. Same with Blizzard, doing what ever it takes to keep the players happy, but at the same PO their other players.

I don’t know what it is with Blizzard, every time i started to like something, they change it. Ruin my happiness every chance i get. Every time.

I was hoping for a whole new class make over to MM Hunter , but now that’s gone.

In my opinion, I feel like within 20 years, Blizzard hasn’t done nothing right with the Hunter class. Constantly nerfs and changes to the hunter class. Hunters are never constant .

They don’t keep their pet unless they take a talent to do so, which ends up with them doing less damage. It will not be optimal.

There is no flip flop.

If it were a flip flop, they would have scrapped the entire new design. They didn’t. They added a choice node that’ll result in less damage for those that want a pet, but are fully focused on this new revamp.

I hate how BM plays now and they ruined DF SV, along with it not even having a Hero spec that matches it. So yeah, Hunters are in a crappy spot, imo, because I hate what they’ve done to them over the years.

But this revamp wasn’t changed. They just added a less damage choice node for others.

Are tin kers better than iron or silver kers?

If they did keep the changes then they are just kissing a different set of booties. It is lose/lose no matter which way they went.

She tamed Humans as pets, even in life.

She had Nathanos at her beck and call like a mongrel cur.

Outlaw Rogue kinda fits that…sorta…

Woohoo, nice reminder that we got what we asked for (and deserved) !

Thanks OP, I /ignored you moons ago, but through the replies to you trolling gibberish, this victory is even sweeter.

And @Sandrine, sistah, you’re a GD professional, why do you keep replying to him ??

They are more flexible so you can wrap sandwiches easier.

A better idea would be a Tinker class that uses guns and can heal and tank, like Brann will be doing in Delves. An archer class would be limited to DPS just like the Hunter class.

If I’m not mistaken, there were dracthyr created to be tinkerers pretty much. I’m not entirely sure of neltharions purpose for them but there was a quest with one of the dracthyr joining the expedition after being crippled when the crèches were collapsed. Basically he speaks about having enjoyed his life’s purpose even before his will was his own, which was taking things apart and putting them back together.

I think the disconnect is that many people don’t want any form of pet, including an eagle that you frequently call down. Mechanically, its not a pet. But in terms of spec fantasy, you still have an animal pet or you take the talent to have a pet but don’t summon it. Obviously that would likely be a significant loss to dps and utility.

MM had a viable no pet fantasy available, now it won’t. I think its reasonable for some people to be unhappy.

It wasn’t that feasible because it was missing utility.

Do I think the eagle is dumb? Yep.

But they wanted an excuse for that utility.

Could they do it without the eagle? No idea. I don’t know all of the utility tied to it.

Huh? Lone Wolf was pretty standard to use in endgame content wasn’t it? Or at least if there was any aoe involved.

I didn’t claim it wasn’t standard for end game. Or that it didn’t do more damage than with a pet.

I said it wasn’t feasible for utility, like Lust.

Which often times not needed in group content, or the pet could be begrudgingly summoned and dismissed. No pet marksman is currently viable and frequently used.
