I sometimes think they should copy ff14’s Rez system. Just let people Rez without these unnecessary restrictions. People make mistakes

I don’t think the issue is that people hate a death counter so to speak, it’s that replacing the timer with a death counter is, practically speaking, a brand new mode. It’s no longer M+. So for those who like M+, the suggestion may as well just be deleting it from the game.
Like you said in an earlier response, Blizzard should have both. Those who like the way M+ plays with a timer shouldn’t be expected to give up that experience so a different group of people can have theirs.
This isn’t it at all. It’s that the optimal strategy with a death counter is to avoid deaths at all costs. There is no weighing of risk/reward with attempting dangerous pulls in the hope of gaining time. Every pull would be a single pull, many with hard CC to further reduce the risk.
To be clear, I’m not trying to suggest this is bad or that people are wrong for liking that style. I’m all for it being an option in the game. It just is misleading at best to act like it’s just a small wrinkle onto M+.
Brewa likes to insist that max M+ rewards are free because the mode has trivial difficulty.

This statement doesn’t make sense. The entire season has a mix of objectively measured things and subjective things. If you are talking about participation, average M+ rating, average item level, sure those can be measured objectively.
But DF S3 was far from peak M+ for my own enjoyment. I’m not saying it was worse than the current season, but being able to time max reward level keys with 35 deaths was a bit much. I 2-chested a +20 with 21 deaths. That lack of consequence for a lot of failures in the key made accomplishments less fulfilling.
To make sure it’s clear, the previous paragraph is purely my opinion, I’m not suggesting everyone does or should feel that way. Just pointing out that there is no way to claim DF S3 was objectively better when there is subjectivity involved.
For some reason they prefer to gaslight themselves out of engaging in other content while saying there isn’t anything to do.
WoW players are truly a unique breed of gamers.
Still the best mmo and they put a lot of work into this game more than other MMO’s.
death counters will only showcase just how terrible the playerbase is more than the timer. at least with the timer 2 good dps can drag the corpse of another even 1 can carry two other bad dps. good luck doing that when timmy walks into swirlies back to back and burns that count tho.

It was objectively easier. Better depends on what metric you value. Easier content always has higher participation.

I see better as a higher player participation in an expansion that was more than halfway over and people were already filing out and waiting for next expansion. Edit: Generally people will attend something they are content with and forego stuff they arent. So i sort of bake the two together.
And overall player mood. I play fantasy games to feel powerful i guess.

yesterday he was getting destroyed on +10s and such. i dont think they are running them at highest ilvl tho. so they are probably pushing the envelop on what you can run at heroic raid level.
