Weird that people keep mentioning my PVP experience to me, when I flat out say I don’t have any, and go out of my way to not talk about PVP.
But at least you have relevant experience. Compared. I don’t know. Someone that hasn’t touched the game in 4-5 months, and hasn’t participated in raiding in almost a decade.
And I never stated it wouldn’t save mana, etc. But so do plenty of other racials.
I am saying it wouldn’t be BROKEN. I am saying it wouldn’t completely negate entire affixes in m+ like an Alliance racial can.
Would it be useful? Sure. Would it break mythic+? No.
And I sincerely hope no DPS ever uses this channeled racial to give his healer extra time to DPS.
I am intrigued by how many people on alts are wanting to look into my profile, though.
I’m mentioning pvp, as the game is balanced around both PvP and PvE.
If something is going to shine in both, there is a high chance it is overpowered.
As for the gamebreaking alliance racials, the only alliance racial I see as overpowered is Shadowmeld. It has a very high use in PvP and PvE. It is VERY similar in regards to the zandalari racial when it comes to breaking.
I agree meld needs a change of some sort. Simply saying one faction has an overpowered and game breaking racial is not going to help resolve balancing issues.
I play both factions and the racials that shine are typically the same races every expansion.
Blizzard has done a good job in many ways already by tuning the troll racial on the Jaina fight.
About 99% of my replies have been about PVE. So if you want to bring up my lack of PVP, and act like it some how diminishes anything I am saying about PVE. Go for it. If you want to talk about PVP, that is absolutely fine. I am not big on it. So I don’t talk about it. I just think its silly to hold my PVP experience against me when I only talk about PVE. And how this racial effects PVE.
The zandy racial does not completely cancel out a m+10 affix. That is game breaking. The zandy racial occasionally gives someone a heal. Huge difference.
Does it need to be toned down? Sure. But it isnt going to completely break mythic+.
I probably avoid the same amount of damage by rocket jumping out of an AE as a goblin.
Thankfully there isn’t any racial that gets rid of the reaping affix (they ignore meld, as they can see through stleath).
I also understand you don’t pvp. I’m not holding your pvp rating against you. I’m saying there is many ways that this racial can and will be used in PvP and PvE, as they go hand in hand in many of the same situations.
A lot of PvP skills are also PvE skills.
Game breaking is also very subjective to how you are using it. When Rezans following you, and you meld it to remove the debuff and have him go on the tank IS game breaking… but to that dungeon.
I raided every tier of Legion for varying amounts of time and quickly got bored because raiding is only fun for me the first few times thru. Insinuating I haven’t raided in a decade because I haven’t pushed hardcore progression in a long time is just lulzy.
*Yes, I am assuming this quoted comment was directed towards me.
I acknowledge it could be used in various ways in PVP. But since I have little experience in it, I avoid those conversations. Yet my pvp experience keeps coming up when I specifically go out of my way to only talk about PVE. So it just throws me off as to “why?”.
Anyways, it will be toned down. So all this really has no point. I’ll wait and see what it gets toned down to, and see how I feel about it then.
Honestly I am more annoyed about the Loa buffs that can fit any role than the healing.
Not what has been suggested, more that you are ignorant to a form of in game content where this racial could be abused and only after being called on your lack of PvP experience did you acknowledge the potential for abuse in PvP. Self serving ignorance is still self serving.
Who said it did? The thread is about how strong the racial is and its potential for abuse. Taking it to that extreme is silly.
You also seem to lack experience as a healer and a tank. If you don’t understand what it takes to keep people alive at certain points you will inevitably have less insight how self healing can be abused to benefit the entire group.
And I get that. But when I am asking “Give me a specific example of how it can be abused or break mythic+ or raiding” and I get multiple replies of “you don’t PVP”
So it sounds like Blizzard will in fact be open to balancing a racial around one part of the game. I am not saying I agree with it. But apparently, for whatever reason, Blizzard is open to the idea.
And the first post mentioned both PVE and PVP. I am leaving the people more experienced in pvp to talk about PVP. I don’t get how that is such a complicated issue.
You can bring up PVP to me all you want. I don’t care. Not because I am apathetic to PVP, but because you could just make up stuff and I wouldn’t know the difference.
I also later go on and say my intention is to focus more on the PvP side on KT racials, as there is nothing showing it as a change that is meant to happen other than it’s just not working.
Again, no explanation has been given as to why the KT racial is not working in PvP, so we don’t even fully know it is a balancing issue.
There is also nothing that can be made up in PvP that you shouldn’t know about when it comes to balancing. The balancing aspect, and how moves work is the same.
The only racial that does not work well in PvP currently is the orc racial, and that is because it was being paired with a talent, and caused the racial to become severely overpowered.
Did they happen to fix this? Last I checked Shadowmeld worked to drop combat with reaped mobs. The stealth vision was intended so that you couldn’t avoid their aggro once aggro dropped as they had large aggro radius and stealth sight (in the event you wiped).
Heck yeah we can, especially in mytic plus with legsweep. On top of Torp away and hit it heal to full before boss reaches us. Dont nerf it monk needs need an extra op cooldown, for those oh crap moments.
