Blizzard Logic is getting confusing

Stagger breaks it immediately.

Dang we will end up being the only tank unable to use it, such a shame.

I mean, that fits the term broken though right

well Warrior and Druid need the love from it. very viable for them, especially if they have a healer smart enough to keep them cleansed.

It makes you drop aggro, and combat if you are not currently the only person there.

If it was just you, then they would resume attacking you.

So basically SOMEONE needs to have aggro of it in order for you to drop the combat with meld.

It works the exact same as vanish does.

Meld only resets aggro, but does not remove combat from the entire group.

If you are the only person in the dungeon when reaping happens for example, once you melded the mob would still be attacking you.

Isn’t it great when you can mix moves together to make stuff work

Too bad monks have a brew they can use to remove stagger debuff, that is unless blizzard removed it this expansion

Did you hear that they’re adding gear to the Doubloon Vendor? Can someone tell me where to find it and explain how Vendors work?

Ok. So lets use the hypothetical that the entire group is made out of night elves. Since we are using plenty of hypotheticals that there will be entire groups/arena teams/etc made out of only zandys.

Wouldn’t the mobs reset/leash and no longer have agro?

Nope, as they have to have aggro on someone.

Normal mobs? Yes.

Mobs that can see in stealth? Nope.

You can test this with a rogue and vanish on a mob that can see through stealth if you would like

I am not sure I follow.

Why do the mobs have to have agro on someone?

Because stealth does not work with them. It’s like a rogue trying to vanish after pulling a mob that can see it. It just does not work.

But many times all the reaping mobs dont start within agro range of your group.

You could shadowmeld immediately before they even get to you. Then they’d reset, no? Take a place like Freehold for example, with the bridges. It can take forever sometimes for mobs to get to you.

Well they start out with aggro on someone. That’s why blizzard did that so it can’t be avoided. It basically acts as them seeing you.

But if you drop agro and they are no longer in agro range, they can’t see you to re-agro…right?

Doesn’t matter if they can see stealth or not in that scenario.

It does.

Here is the best way I can explain it.

Pretend you are a rogue and you throw your dagger at a mob that can see in stealth.

(Assume the dagger throw is 20 yards away and does not apply a dot to the target.)

Once you throw that dagger, the target is locked onto you. If you vanish, it will still be on you.

I’m assuming the reason meld resets the aggro on people who meld is because most targets prefer to attack non-invis targets. I have no evidence backing up why it resets aggro from melded targets though.

Here’s Blizzard and Logic, pick one and only one

My proof from a while back it is easy to have a couple seconds to get it off

I know this is PvP, but it’s just as easy in a M+.

Proof: I’ve already beat a +15 on time this week, and this racial saved me many times :man_shrugging:t3:

You already made an “I told you so” post about this. A second one, and a necro at that, was really unnecessary.

This is from 12 days ago… lol.

Not a necro

Just showing him what I was trying to say.

And showing him you can easily get a few seconds of the cast off.
