Blizzard Live Chat

How do you get Blizzard on live chat anymore?!?

Wait for it to be open.

Which is kind of rare at the moment.

Don’t even know if there is a way. Blizzard seems to be allergic to it’s paying customers and their issues (whether it be technical or account related).

Well, there are a few considerations:

  • It has to be an issue Live Chat is eligible for. That is usually Billing and Account Access issues. It is not available for appeals, in-game issues, etc.
  • It has to be open. It was shut down mostly over the Pandemic, and it shut down when they have high ticket volumes. They focus on tickets first.
  • It has to be during the hours it operates which are limited to during part of the work day US time.

If you share what your issue is, someone can give you more specific advice for help resources.

The Customer Support forum does not have GMs, but the Support Forum Agents function as an Information Desk and are rather responsive. They will be happy to tell you the best options for your issue.

You can move your own thread there if you like. To do that use the pencil symbol on your post and adjust the drop down menu from General Discussion to Customer Support. That should move your whole thread.

You’re wrong but, stay mad anyway.

Milk is better on your cereal… you’ll have a better day.

Travel back in time to more than a decade ago. That’s the only real way you got a shot at blizzard live chat.

I got banned from Blizzard Live Chat after asking to meet in person. Thought it was a different kind of service.

Basically they’ll only talk to you if its about money? That fits.

Blizzard’s live interface has always been intended for Billing, Account access (password lost, authenticator issues, etc), and some Tech Support issues.

Those folks are not QA for bugs, not GMs for in-game issues, not Devs for game complaints, etc. That is also not how to appeal account actions. When they had an open dial in number though, people called it for all manner of things, including things not related to support at all. It used to have HUGE queues, if you could even get in at all and ran up cell phone mins once cell phone became a thing. They went to phone callback and Live Chat instead.

People have a tendency to not understand what Blizzard’s CS can do for them, or which channels are used for what.

This article can be really helpful sorting out what Blizz staff can, and can’t, do.
