What are you trying to get support for? Odds are better you’ll get help here (yes despite the trolls).
Last Blizzard ticket I had, was open for over 6 months before I gave up and closed it. Averaged one response every 4 to 6 weeks. All denying they could help, despite my linking the issue to them with the Blue Post in the forums saying the only way to get the issue fixed was to open a ticket.
Just face it, you’re more likely to get a personal email from a developer apologizing for yet another currency grind, than you are of getting actual support from the customer support group.
So personal rant aside, what’s the issue, let’s see if we can get you help with fewer that 12 trolls piling on.
You missed this reply earlier in the thread. If your ticket was in that time frame mentioned? The atrocious wait time was an anomaly that thankfully has been resolved.
I know. And then when you figure it out they claim they are too busy and for you to look for your answers on sites that have nothing to do with what you asked.
And even then, they had zero obligation to do such a thing, but they typically did it in the very early days of the game as the population ballooned far above expectations and tended to put a severe strain on the servers. There were also far more cases of them expecting something to take X amount of time, yet the servers would be down for close to 24 hours.
You should try actually reading that ToS/ELUA at some point. It flat out says they have no obligation to give out free time and that you understand maintenance must be carried out from time to time which will result in the game being unavailable to play.
Ppl will complain about having to open tickets, but won’t tell any of us what their problem is because they don’t want to get laughed at and told that there’s a self-service option or that their problem is a non-issue.
Last time I made a ticket I lost two reagent bags because they just disappeared on my character when I used them. I wanted them to return them to me. Wowhead can’t help with that and that is the link they gave me…
Literally nothing about that is “poor service.” Either you get to make a ticket on something that they can help with or you can’t find an option for a ticket, because there’s literally nothing they can do for you.
Most issues people have are questing issues, which GMs do not help with, unless it’s a technical issue where their character needs reset or something. They don’t give game hints. So all of the information regarding what you’re having an issue with is literally listed right there for you to read and fix yourself.
They got a template response, because it gives information on UI resets and Wowhead links just in case. That’s a first step for issues like that, because it’s oftentimes a UI issue and nothing is actually lost. Of course that’s not always the case, which is why tickets can be re-opened. But saving time to find out if it is a UI issue or something that’s bugged and listed on Wowhead (meaning GMs can’t fix it anyway) so that someone who is permanently stuck can get their character playable faster is better overall. It saves time, usually solves more issues that people realize and cuts down on ticket times.
