Not a genuine problem? This bug impacts other non-paladin mounts. Also this expansion has the most bugs of any other expansion. Fix the bugs first before suggesting to add other things to this game,.
It was a dumb joke about paladins. If it helps, I’m sorry I made it.
Again, I stand by what I said.
Some mounts shouldn’t fly.
I am all for making some more mounts fly, like the Fallen Charger for example. But some mounts, like the mammoths, brutosaurs, yaks etc, need to stay on the ground.
great now we gotta worry about snail trails dropping out of the sky!
Yes… I want to fly on my large land mammals.
Invincible was never a magic flying horse , Arthas could never fly with it yet they randomly made it a flying mount
I see no reason why my yak can’t fly too then
Threads like this are one of the reasons legit issues never get addressed.
Who said they arent going to restrict flying in future expansions?
They did when they handed us Dragon riding. Main leveling zones will allow flight and then whatever crappy mis season zone we are herded into will not. Just like Timeless Isle, The Maw, Korthia…
No. Blizzard is only letting flying be unrestricted because Dragon Riding is a new feature.
They will restrict it again when they inevitably rework the questing experience like they did in WoD.
This… will NEVER happen and I will bet 50 Brutasaurs on it. Book mark this post, save it, favorite it, whatever you like. WoD was a FAILURE and Pathfinder was added in 6.2 just to bring back half the people who quit over the lack of flying and the substandard content. Legion was the big time apology for the S-Show that was WoD.
I only ever use a ground mount for tmog, ah, repairs, or mail. If its not one of those, then the ground mount might as well be removed from the game - I will never, ever, use it.
WoD is one of my favorite xpacs they ever did. I have run it start to finish literally dozens of times, it still holds up. I didn’t do pvp, dungeons or raids, so I’m sure my experience is not like yours… but I played it the entire run, every day, and had a great time WW does -not- live up to WoD for me.
I can’t see removing them since they still serve several purposes including Ground only zones, and Roleplay (for those who still appreciate the Lore). I spent 3 weeks feeding and playing with my Saber in Winterspring and to just have it yanked would actually piss me off, and I don’t really indulge in the nostalgia of pixels.
Nah it’s actually so obvious.
Why do you think blizzard restricted static flying?
Why do you think they made 3/4th of the expansion underground?
Because there are still people at blizzard who are smart and understand that flying ruins the game for casual players.
Nobody cared when flying was removed. Everybody loved Legion despite it having flying restricted. And everybody praised the WoD leveling experience, and WoD was a 10x more popular expansion than either DF or TWW.
i had an idea years ago during bfa
inflatable mount shoe equipment so you can make any mount fly
Oh you can take that to the bank. I was SOOOO heavily into flying back then, I would have unsubbed had I not already bout an annual pass. I was even ejected from this very forum for the way I spoke to Bashiok, and was not allowed back for almost 6 years. Removing flight from an expac was the absolute worst decision they ever made in this history of this game, and I will die on that hill. I’m glad you liked it cause a Google search will show you how most people felt about it.
Because steady flight is far easier to use and abuse. It was part of their mantra in WoD
“We feel the ability to lift off and land at will ruins the leveling experience and makes content trivia. We want players to experience the game from the ground up…”
Which is why Pathfinder was a thing in every expac til DF. Now you can fly at lvl 10. They made the expansion underground cause we have been everywhere else:
- Alien worlds
- Bottom of the sea
- Deepholm
- Malestrom
- All over Azeroth
Like once you have exhausted every other place you could possibly go, you go where you have not gone before. If they were intent on restricting flying, they would have left Skyriding with DF, made the Isle of Dorn flyable, and then used some lame excuse that “your gryphons cannot breathe underground… but your horse can… so…” which was the exact excuse we got in WoD. Our gryphon could not breathe the atmosphere, but my garrison Gryphon could breathe just fine?
Yeah, you hit the ONLY topic that ever got me removed from the forums, and since I never have to worry about flight being removed again, we’re good.
The game is already foolish and stupid as it is. Don’t make the bar go any lower.
No, i still use ground mounts and don’t like flying mou ts thatvrely 100% on magic instead of wings.
“Like, sorry, the moment I see a giant brutosaur flying around, the game has become far too stupid/silly.”
And yet we have dragons that are, in some cases, much larger than the bruto mounts. Not that I disagree with you but exclusions based on any type of logical rule are probably going to fail. Heck, I mean even cities aren’t fixed in place unless the magic fails.
