Realistically then there’s no reason for most of you to be here complaining and in turn that makes all these threads spam which is against the TOA and COC.
You clearly lack the understanding of what its saying.
It means hunters can now use their utility without having to summon their pet and take a DPS loss.
Ironic as you have now proven my points for me twice.
Yeah I think it wouldnt be considered a true pet at that point because no one considers frost DK to have a pet.
Given the blizzard moderators don’t tend to shut these threads down, and theirs quite a few of them now, I don’t think they agree with that consensus, and i’d put money down a fair chunk of the anti-pet folks do report these threads.
“They can expect it to act in all ways that a customizable pet will act! But with the addition of not being customizable and sparking a forum war!” - Blizzard probably.
except for the whole “We do not want the eagle, we want our pets that we tamed” you keep conveniently ignoring because it’s inconvenient for you to recognize the crux of the issue. If the eagle just was our tamed pet and sat at our side only to dash in for the ‘eagle abilities’ this whole thing would not be an issue.
it means the eagle is functioning AS a pet, because that’s what it functionally is.
just because you think something doesn’t make it true, as I’ve had to tell you thrice now.
I’m aware, they get moved to the Hunter class forums, my first reply in this thread was about how the OP decided to put this on general after the others had all been moved to the Hunter forums, doesn’t make it any less spammy when everyone thinks they need their own thread about the same pointless topic.
Again its not a TRADITIONAL pet which is what you cant seeom to understand.
Yet you still have proven my points for me twice.
Thanks
but it is still A pet, which you refuse to understand.
For the fourth time, no.
At the end of the day all this means is that MM is now permanently dependent upon a non-customizable proc/ability use based pet.
This is a net negative when you boil this down when it comes to customization and a break even for gameplay in my humble opinion.
But we can continue this argument and I am sure we will.
If I’ve learned anything about that too much customization gets you stuff like Void Elves with blonde hair or people wanting every class for every race because they want it as like a skin.
It’s only a pet in words alone. Again it’s going to act like sentinel owl currently works.
At this point I don’t even think you know what sentinel owl is.
You’re still wrong.
Thanks.
Nice profile picture you got there
It’s 100% a gain on gameplay though.
And all the functionality of the old pet with none of the customization. Which I will reiterate because you keep glossing over this fact that’s the entire reason why we’re upset.
According to you, a wrong person.
That’s why I hate them with blonde hair is they ruin my immersion by glowing blue, if they didn’t glow I wouldn’t care so much but when they are right next to you and start glowing it’s like yay wannabe High Elves.
Not if I prefer mm…
Why is LW on a choice node with having a pet so bad lmao. It changes nothing the way I lay it out
Nope. I just honestly don’t care why people are upset. The changes fix MMs gameplay in content it actually matters. I don’t care the slightest if solo players are mad about losing a pet.
A high end player that’s actually correct

It’s legit a choice node for like what a month now and then the patch goes live so not a choice so not really an argument anymore.
Yeah but this is talking about removing customization via removing pets from MM. I’m not asking for more here.
I would argue that this particular change is actually being billed as motivated by people who want their “Ranger/Solo archer” fantasy and that is why we are seeing it at all. So “customization by removing customization” is what we are seeing here.
It’s actually not imo. It’s a gain from current gameplay I’d give you that but the alternative of just giving hunter’s lust baseline and adjusting Lone wolf for MM would have been even better.
