Blizzard is making a mistake with an easy solution

“It’s likely” doesn’t cut it, it’s also not even likely that’s just an unfounded opinion. It would have been incredibly easy just to not have the eagle at all and just call pet1 so it would definitively be YOUR pet, the same one you went out and physically tamed rather than just something that looks different from the default eagle yet here we are.

Because people rightly recognize it’s not an archer focused spec without a pet, it’s an archer focused spec with blizzards choice of a pet instead of your pet. You might like to pretend something else because it makes you easier to paint your detractors as dumb but in the immortal words of children at the playground, “No u.”

And what if you like the play style of mm…

“Too bad”

Na screw that, again if BM has the option to have one or two petes then mm should have that same privilege of it doesn’t effect gameplay as I outline in the OP

This kind of attitude is why people don’t respect the explanations, actually, because people sneer down their noses and go “no”, then when asked why they will usually give them some kind of easily countered argument. “Its a damage loss” being an example of one, another being “The majority wants it” (With no polls to back that up, of course, they just claim it but both sides do that). “Just play BM/SV” but they don’t like the way those specs play, the pro pet players aren’t even generally demanding MM has to have a pet (Even though it literally does, even if some people find feathered flying rats to be disgusting they’re still stuck with em.) they’re more upset about the Choice to have pets even if suboptimal going away, especially since they’re already baking all the utility directly into MM.

I will definitely be playing BM on all my hunters moving forward. I’ll get back pets taken away in the last nurf, which I can no longer summon.

The only reason for this I can think of is numbers. Too many hunters play MM. The solution - gut the spec so fewer people play it.

Theres 2 very valid reasons that keep getting explained as to why its happening.

If you actually like the playstyle of Marksmanship the changes shouldn’t matter, you should adapt to the eagle and continue playing it, good lord.

Beastmastery is a pet centric spec, Marksmanship isn’t, there is a major difference there.

I said it before, I’ll say it again, its not anything to do with numbers. Its what some blizzard developer has for Their class fantasy for MM hunter, and they’ve been trying to push it since WOD.

2 reasons were given, that doesn’t make them valid just because you personally agree with them.

Yeah you have no idea what you are talking about.

MM has fundamental spec issues because of the pet/lonewolf issues. They are removing pets because of that issue and the spec will be better moving forward.

if you really want a pet, why not just play beast mastery?

Utillity and Blanace are FACTUALLY the reasons they are removing pets whether you agree or not.

You dont have to like the reasons or that its happening but they are 100% valid reasons which have been asked for for years.

Infact MM has been designed as a petless spec for more of the games lifespan then it hasnt.

again, just because those are the stated reasons do not make them valid reasons.

It does affect gameplay and it makes MM super clunky because of it.

This has been answered every time, lmao, some people really do not vibe with the playstyle of beast mastery and it favoring damage from pets and the hunter assisting/controlling them, vs the Hunter being the primary damage dealer and the pet assisting.

The changes do matter, as it changes the playstyle of MM for some players.

Again, just because you cant agree or comprehend why they are in fact valid reasons does not change the fact that they are valid reasons

if you want the hunter to be the primary damage dealer, isn’t lone wolf the best spec for you, then?

if utility and balance were the concern, then we wouldn’t have a pet at all. Instead we got our pets swapped for blizzards pet so no, just because blizzard stated a reason you agree with does not mean it is valid. Just as because you cannot comprehend the words being spoken to you does not mean repeating yourself makes your stance more valid either.

See, that’d work perfectly except, again, Very different style of play, also melee, both have their issues that don’t make them 1/1 changeovers from MM’s playstyle.

The majority of MM players dont play with a pet,

IDK why it has to keep being explained that this is a group based game first and when there are issues with a spec that affects its ability in group content it takes priority over solo content.
