I just came back to WoW after 4 years. Before that I played from Cata all the way through BfA. I only PvP’d in Legion and BfA and I attained 2300 rating as a record and only ever played DPS.
After I spent a week waiting 50 minutes for solo shuffle on my DPS, I decided to learn how to heal. It took me awhile but I geared my Discipline Priest in full honor gear. So I decided to try out a solo shuffle. My first que went really well, I went 5-1 and even had a little fun. The next time I qued up my MMR was already 1900. I was facing fully geared and gem’d players while only having 6 rated arena under my belt. No wonder no one can get into PvP, the MMR system is BROKEN. Not to mention it’s almost imposible to not get a death threat while playing a healer. It almost always comes from someone who has never played a healer and never gotten past 2k rating.
This has been a dissapointing return so far, the elite sets are ugly, the glad mount looks like a giant moth and there are obvious class advantages in the game.
This is a hidden conspiracy against boosting, bad rewards/free mmr - there is nothing to boost, they need boosting to exist, but only where it does not interfere (pve) and to receive money from tokens. They don’t want to waste resources on banning PvP boosters, because the community is negligible, but it’s small because of them. Everything is looped.
This is cope. I have literally never seen a shuffle q go beyond 20 minutes. The only time I see it get messed up is at the very top of the ladder.
Everyone wanted inflation. You’re just late to the party, this would happen in every expansion you’ve played. Go log on cata and try to play a game. You’re fighting fully geared people.
I’ve never received a death threat Qing wow arena. If you did, you were likely saying some off the wall stuff, otherwise report and go next.
It specifically was a terrible thing.
Having access to easy gearing helps with people being willing to try specs that people wouldn’t normally try and creates diversity.
If you want to incentivize people to pvp then make it fun, and currently no tuning passes is not that great of a feeling.
Game sucks rn because everyone just jumps to the most FoTm thing possible because it takes 2 hours to fully gear a toon
They nerf bm hunter we’ll just see the next best spec every game
It’s gone from an MMO to a fighting game where u just lock in whatever the best pick is
No one boosts anymore because the game is dead, all you saw in s1 dragonflight LFG was boosters
Just gave you a reason to befriend someone good, creating community. I remember I did 3000 2s games on my sepsis rogue just helping people get rating. Talk about the golden age of arena.
Also me and my bg friends did saturday night RBG’s to help everyone we did bgs with get 2100. What an awesome time to play WoW
You actually think the current iteration of arena is better? I’m sitting 10 minute qs at 2200 on a saturday night
