Blizzard is censoring harsh words in game now

The reason ‘snowflakes’ ran rampart is because a lot of social media companies have become too patriarchal,

Just the other day I know one woman got harassed and abused online heavily, she was told by some dude “you are so freaking skinny no hips you could never give kids, go eat something!” she simply said “nobody asked your opinion”, the guy then calls her the most offensive s word you can call a woman, yet the woman is the one getting in trouble on FB. Go figure.

Tell me how is that fair and just that she gets in trouble but he doesn’t for the sexist things he said?

Because it’s a boogeyman whose image is conjured by right wing media outfits to deflect blame for any and everything. The storming of the capitol? Not Trump supporters. Antifa(???). The BLM protests? Not police brutality. Antifa. A white supremacist plows into a group of counter demonstrators? He was threatened by Antifa. A white dude guns down various protesters and saunters right by the cops with no repercussions? It’s just that he felt threatened by Antifa.

It doesn’t matter that intelligence officials (even before the election) have repeatedly stated that Antifa doesn’t have a clear organization and doesn’t pose a credible threat, unlike white supremacists. The right wing media continues to chant, “Antifa “ as if by repeating the lie often enough they can make it real. And you’re gullible enough to parrot their propaganda.

When there are incidents where like in Portland, Antifa pulled a guy out of his car then curb stomped him, they have good reason to consider it a credible threat. I can’t believe you condone that? I’ve only seen a couple of incidents where “protesters” were injured in these situations. Both incidents, the guy tried to avoid them but was boxed in.

Tell me you wouldn’t do the same if you were in your car with your wife or kid? They set up checkpoints without warning and block off traffic. I saw the same tactics used in Iraq. One of the American linguist contractors we use was assassinated using this tactic. I hope Antifa never goes that far. I heard in Portland a guy was killed 2 blocks from his house, just for wearing a Trump hat, stabbed in the chest. Win the election, one vote at a time I guess.

Don’t confuse no leadership with decentralized leadership. It’s a common organization tactic for many terrorist groups. I know. I worked counter-terrorism for over 20 years.

Wow. This whole post gets a slow clap from me. It’s a real tour-de-force of misinformation, just outright bald-faced racism, and deep cuts from what has to be some right-wing nutbag or another’s manifesto. I like, want to give guided tours of it to anyone who says that we’re living in a post-racial society and that “nobody thinks that way anymore”.

“Over here, we can see where this dude is hyperventilating about Antifa, you see because I mentioned fires, and that’s the average racist’s knee-jerk response even no one was even remotely on the subject. And on this pedestal here we’ve got “welfare is slavery”. I mean, that’s a prime vintage there, people don’t usually bring that out in public in polite society these days, that’s just…~chef’s kiss~. Now, if we can hold our questions until the end, and I know you’ve got a lot, we’re going to round out this wing with the “Unnamed Ghettos Are All Run By Democrats In Every Single Role” tentpole here. Which ghettos? What in his mind is a “ghetto”? And why are they so bad? Yes, I know, that was rhetorical, it’s any area that is largely populated by racial minorities, but we don’t have time to fully unpack that because he’s quickly on to debunked talking points from Fox News. It’s truly breathtaking.”

I dont really see a problem with this

When you can’t argue the facts, you name call. You called all republicans racist. Now you’re calling all of them nutbags, or at least just me.

Refute facts with facts, please.

All of these cities are run by Democrats, even the ones in red states. Pretty lousy track record if you ask me. If the party isn’t fixing anything, walk away.

Poorest Cities

Detroit, MI
Cleveland, OH
Dayton, OH
Rochester, NY
Hartford, CT
Newark, NJ
Syracuse, NY
Jackson, MS
Birmingham, AL
Toledo, OH

Highest Crime

St. Louis, MO
Springfield, MO
Memphis,TN
Little Rock, AR
Oakland, CA
Wichita, KS
New Orleans, LA
Chattanooga, TN
North Charleston, NC
Cleveland, OH

They’re bad because they are impoverished with high crime. The quality of life. Please spare me the implication about race. That’s really the only lens you people can see through, isn’t it?

If anything I’ve said is propaganda, please enlighten me. Please bring facts.

Oh I love it when people bring up Portland who have never been anywhere near Portland, but they saw video of riots from other countries and close-ups of trash fires on NewsMax so they think they know what went down. This is when I will say, again, that I work two literal, small blocks from the Federal building where the protests were taking place. You can’t booga-booga at me about it.

The vast majority of the people who were injured were protesters. The cops had a penchant for aiming rubber bullets at heads and eyes, for fun.

Protesters pulled a guy out of his truck who crashed near them when they thought tried to hit them with his vehicle, and beat him. The guy who beat on him later turned himself in to the police, he was sentenced to 20 months in jail. The guy himself recovered.

I think you’ve mixed up who was doing this. This was Anti-Antifa (reduce the fraction on that one) groups of armed rednecks who were setting up unauthorized checkpoints. At one point they felled a tree in the road and harassed a family that was going camping.

I hadn’t “heard about” (coughcoughmadeupcough) anything like this, so I went looking, and nope. Nothing like this has happened that I could find. There was a guy in a Pro-Trump caravan in a Patriot Prayer hat who had gone “hunting Antifa” in the city who was shot and killed by a mentally unstable guy who was later shot and killed by the police himself, or there was this incident where four Proud Boys started beating on a black guy near the bar they were hanging out at in Washington DC, it turned out he had a knife and defended himself with it. There was also an incident in New York where a guy threatened to stab a guy in a Trump hat if he didn’t hand it over? No actual stabbing took place.

Anyway, tell me more about things that you vaguely thought that you heard that happened in the alternate reality version of the city that I work in. It’s really pretty amusing.

Instead of letting it roll off your back, (or “roll of your back” if you prefer?) it might be more beneficial for you to try absorbing it.

While I’m too apathetic to report your name, it’s clearly a violation.
…and I feel like you’d be offended if you were forced to change it.
(and that if you were forced to change it, you’d change it to something equally childish)

Can you explain the thought process behind using a name like that?
I’m genuinely curious.

I’m not offended, I just don’t understand why people do it.
Is it for the attention?

Nice to have an expert on Portland.

There have been a couple of incidents where people overreacted and were charged accordingly. I don’t condone what they did. Many stories were exaggerated on both sides. It takes objective honesty and effort to get to the real story.

Antifa blocked officers in and tried to set fire to the SE Police station. This one is not an exaggeration. That’s attempted murder. Your mayor Ted Wheeler called them out on it as going a little too far. They weren’t charged, because of course, your town is run by Democrats.

For months, antifa has been rioting and harassing people in your town. Red House mean anything to you? You offer a couple of incidents where they reacted to being harassed badly.

Spare me the argument that I’m thousands of miles away. I’ve seen hours of live footage from Andy Ngo.

Now you’re an apologist for cold-blooded murderer, Michael Reinoehl. Hilarious how you turned that story around. He was on foot and 2 blocks from his apartment, not in a caravan. Those had left 3 hours prior.

“Hey, I got one here,” is what the known antifa member Reinhoel said as he ran over to Aaron Danielson. You tell me who’s the hunted and the hunter. He’s had no diagnosis mental instability before or since.

I guess you’re not the expert on Portland as we all thought.

By what metric? Lowest income? And is that per-capita or per-household? Least amount of money spent on public services? Because I found this list that dramatically disagrees with what you have listed there (sure is a lot of Arkansas and West Virginia on there), and also this one (I don’t think Anchorage Alaska and Honolulu Hawaii count as “ghettos”?) and this one and this one and they all seem to have different cities listed by different criteria.

Likewise, for the “high-crime” cities, are we talking violent crime, property crime, shootings, drug arrests? And mayors and city council members don’t always declare a political party - why should they? They basically pick potholes to fill and put on community initiatives. But the lists that I did find again disagreed with your list.

Oof.

I believe the data was from 2019 and included an aggregate of all crime and highest percentage of low income (below the poverty line) residents.

Blizzard doesn’t let me post links for some reason. Sorry I can’t give you the sites directly.

All politics is local
-Tip O’Neill (Democrat Speaker of the House during the Reagan administration)

If you checked their party donations, it would be clear. Don’t try to tell me there is even one city council person or mayor in your town that isn’t a Democrat.

I remember when Portland was considered the poster-child for tolerance. Now is a bed of hate and violence, thanks to leftist who took over your moderate democrat party.

The Red House where a family was being forcibly evicted from their house and the community rallied around them to prevent the eviction, that has since become something of a squatting spot for nutjobs? Yes I’d heard of that. I’m not sure what it has to do with being able to say the n-word in a video game, though.

I’m curious where I apologized for him doing anything. The dude was mentally unstable (both Reinoehl and Danielson were described by family and associates as being a few butterknives short of a full silverware set), and killed a guy, and was killed by the police. Both were examples of why it’s a bad plan to take a cause into your own hands and roam the streets while armed, but it’s not like it was a daily event. Or did you want to dig him up and tsk-tsk at him some more for it?

Where I live and where I work are two separate cities. Where I live outside the Urban Growth Boundary is significantly more rural because that ideological divide makes a fast, hard turn once you step a pinky toe outside Portland proper, and the mayor and the city council don’t have party affiliations listed when they run. They’re about a 50/50 split of conservative to liberal, though.

Uh huh. I mean, mostly it’s a bed for trust fund kids performing Outrage Theater, of many different stripes and ideologies. But it’s really not that violent, and it’s really not destroyed at all, or on fire…Portland has been pretty business as usual for the vast majority of the last year. It’s not really that Woke, and it’s not really that crazy - it’s a city, where people live and work and shop, like any other city.

You said he was being hunted and was mentally ill. Both false. You were trying to justify or soften his actions. Murder is murder.

you can post a link by using the ` key either side of the url (top left of the keyboard, not the apostrophe key)

it won’t be a clickable link, and will look like this, but people can still copy/paste https://www.wowhead.com/npc=55638/socks

Patriot Prayer is generally very clear about the fact that their entire schtick is seeking confrontation with “Antifa” protesters while armed, and Reinohal’s mental state and history was laid out in the Wikipedia article that I linked. At no point, though, did I say that Reinohal’s actions were justified.

This was one of the best posts I’ve seen in a while LOL.

Would love a tour guided by Jala
