Blizzard is a joke

These the AAA elite game developers can’t create one expansion that touches it’s 15 year olds counterpart. Blizzard is incapable of making a quality product. Diablo 3 was an insult to diablo fans. Overwatch 2 being a meme reskin? Warcraft RTS remake failure. Complete abandonment of a large genre in MOBA games by ignoring Heroes of the Storm. Just a brief look into Blizzard’s track record.

Blizzard refuses to merge servers or maintain any semblance of a healthily populated server. Why would a company charge a fee for a “remedy or solution”(server transfer) to a large problem in MMOs, dead servers? It’s a pretty big deal isn’t it? If you can’t make friends or group up on your server is the mmo not basically unplayable? Blizzard did nothing to safeguard this from happening, and they charge you for the ability to move your invested character, which is beyond a want desire typically, usually it’s a need necessity because you cannot group up or raid without others.

Blizzard will not pay an employee to use bot banning programs nor acknowledge and take action against bots or players reported countless times. It is extremely obvious to identify bots or cheating gameplay, blizzard is among the most powerful gaming companies around, the result still is bots everywhere. This shines a light that blizzard would rather allow a fake gold game, gold buying/selling operation persist rather than take action against those that would hurt the game’s integrity. Why? Bots are subscriptions and that makes blizzard more money while blizzard and cheating players turn a blind eye. This is disgusting negligence.

Not only does their product display their true colors, but they also can’t provide a safe work environment for employees. Who would of guessed the guys charging you to server transfer your years old character also don’t care about their employees or their own team? Blizzard only caring about money isn’t necessarily immoral or evil, but everything surrounding the way they care about money is a black eye and universally regarded as illegal. Optics doesn’t matter when you’re king of the hill? Says Blizzard’s bold gross actions.

How hard would it be to respect your playerbase a little bit? Apparently blizzard just cannot.

Because people like you will rage on the forums about how bad this company is but you will still pay them to play every month.

And that is the reality of it.

You guys enjoy supporting a company that abuses women? Nice. Not to mention the terrible ethics involved in how they maintain the mmo.

That’s you guys.

I’m not regularly subbed. I was asked to resub to play a static irl friend group that lasted a week. $15 to hangout with your friends instead of telling them no. I have extremely large gaps of absence. The last expansion I purchased was Cataclysm.

But please, continue defending the company that charges more than that monthly sub to transfer one character from purgatory to a functional server. Continue defending the guys who haven’t created a single good game in a decade despite being a top dog in the video game world.

This is a fresh and unique post.

So by your logic and circumstance… you’re only partially “us guys” and then an arm chair activist the rest of the time? You “support a company that abuses women” some of the time, but you’re against it the rest of the time. Okay there pal.

“Instead of telling them no” is the biggest deflection of guilt I’ve ever seen. If you believed in what the hell you are saying you’d draw the line. Instead, you’ve chosen to have your cake and eat it too.

Blizzard would tell you they’re “setting the example” for respecting others in the video game world. That’s a recent quote from them after all the allegations came out. They’re “setting the example” for discrimination in the industry.

They really have been setting the example for the past ten years right? Actions surely don’t speak louder than words right? Almost ten years of corporate nonsense going unchecked and when finally called out, they claim to now be setting the example for everyone else?

I mean it’s so incredibly laughable. But blizzard would have you believe them. I’m just pointing things out for others.

You have been regularly subbed since May 22. This is now August 6.

And you can’t post here without a sub. Why are you supporting a company that abuses women?

Paying $15 to maintain my friendships and hangout with them doing any activity is worth more to me than a lot of things. I don’t support blizzard. My friends wanted to run a dungeon group. I’m down. I do not support blizzard and I wouldn’t have recently played without being asked to by friends.

The difference is you defending blizzard in a thread that’s calling out all their ugly behavior. I’m not supporting that. I paid $15 to hangout with friends. I would be embarrassed to defend blizzard the way you did.

By your own words it is more important to you than the women victimized by the people you are paying and supporting.

So when someone with reasonable reading comprehension comes around and reads this thread, when they see what I have to say about the game and blizzard, then they see you chime in to attack me. What do you think? Who supports blizzard?

Are we all just incapable of using nuance or is that just you? Or maybe it’s just a blizzard employee thing. To defend a company that’s currently in the trash can over illegal harassment and discrimination, how else do you explain defending that beyond being on the payroll?

You guys are blizzard employees. Come on, let’s be honest.

You do when it’s convenient to you and your friend group.

You also paid $15 to “support a company that abuses women” by your words. You should be embarrassed if that’s what you believe.

There are more sides to an argument than yours… just so you know. You are just generalizing everyone’s opinion and exclaiming that you have the correct opinion. You don’t. You aren’t doing any service by crying on the forums. You are just throwing a temper tantrum because of some imagined moral high ground that makes you think you know more than others. You can choose to play or to not play, but to criticize people for making the same choices you are choosing to make is laughable and hypocritical.

I’m only saying blizzard is paying you to have such an incredibly transparent movie-esque brand of blind loyalty to a company.

So asking you to explain the obvious duality of your very own opinions is now “attacking you”?

You are paying this company every single month.

Would a person who had the courage of their convictions not just simply stop financially supporting a company they think is so terrible?

I mean this is pure assumption. You’re talking about this assumed stance people have just because they play a freakin’ video game. Not everyone’s views and opinions have to align with yours. Check yourself my guy. You don’t have to play “sometimes” if you don’t want to. No one is forcing you. No one cares if you quit. Most people don’t care if you choose to play or not. If you have this much of a conviction against a company, you would put your money where your mouth is and stop playing all together and tell your friends that you can no longer support the company. Instead, you chose to come here and be a hypocrite.

I think most people understand doing stuff with your friends for $15 isn’t the same thing as having a positive opinion over a has-been company that takes advantage of it’s customers and discriminates against their own employees.

You guys are funny.

Yeah I paid my $15 which gives me the ability to post on the forums. To be able to express my opinion to my peers is so much more valuable and gratifying than the actual game. No one is forcing me to play the game. I voluntarily paid $15 to play a few days with my friends I’ve played video games with for 20 years. That ended quickly like it usually does, people are busy, static dungeon groups usually end pretty fast. So I’m not playing the game, nope, but I do have access to the forums for a few weeks.

Correct. I’m here expressing an opinion, no one is forcing you to read it.
