Blizzard ignoring faction imbalance: Why?

YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT if you put a gun to players head they will don’t try to play stupid.

people won’t take them, history has sown people don’t like to transfer to the smaller faction, or transfer off the bigger faction.
do some? yes. but the majority of people do not.

this isn’t authentic to vanilla or heck, anything before battle for azeroth.

so your answer is “not vanilla, not vanilla, and not vanilla”. got it.

You know what won’t balance the factions? long lists of excuses.

You know what will, though? People just rerolling the other faction.

That’s true! That is also the only possible solution right now because Blizzard doesn’t care.

It’s not that they don’t care. They’ve been very vocal about this for the last 15 years. They don’t want to create an environment where you can’t play on the server and faction that you want to.

No they haven’t.

Nothing I suggested, and again my suggestions are just off the top of my head and took literally no effort, would create that environment. As much as people mock Blizzard they made a pretty amazing game, I am sure they could come up with even better ideas than mine if they actually cared to try.

They’re against server merges and they’re against restricting character creation. That’s literally the only 2 options for Blizzard to solve this, and it’s not a smart direction to take. Transfers aren’t guaranteed.

Why not be constructive? What server is this problem on? Which faction? You have forums… Why not recruit some people?

What server has that ratio? Almost every server is 4:1 Alliance to horde not horde over alliance.

Server transfers of any sort won’t do a damn thing if there are overall 65% horde vs 35% alliance (entirely made up on the specific numbers to make a point). What is really needed is a combination of server transfers (to alleviate queues) and faction transfers (to balance the teams). When they say this is impossible what they really mean is “that’s a lot of work and no one here wants to do it, they want to do the fun stuff like working on new content or porting more old content.”

Considering how classic was more of a success than they thought, they really ought to spend some of that money hiring someone who is willing to actually do work that might not be super fun, but which fixes a problem that otherwise threatens the long term viability of the product they’re selling.

You made that up on the spot to fecespost on wow forums.

Nope there’s just statistically more alliance players.

You’re kidding right? You expect the players to get together and have a nice discussion on how to fix the balance? How dumb are you man…

What are they suppose to do that they havnt done already?

They have had server transfers. Everyone stays put and expects everyone
else to be the one who transfers.

They start trying to tell players what server, and what factions, they
can play on. People will leave. If a new player starts playing because
his cousin talked him into playing. What is going to happen if Blizzard
told the new player he cant be on the same faction, or server, of
his cousin? I tell you what would happen. the new player would just
not play.

Your clarification makes no sense.

Can you cite a case of a blizzard employee saying any such thing?

You claim things like this as though blizzard has actually done anything beyond ignoring the issue. It is not intent, it is ignorance.

Well, and those other things that you conveniently left out that they could do.

The lack of punctuation does make it read like an epileptic fit.

Even that doesn’t work, because Blizzreeeee has already proven they have no issue opening unrestricted transfers from lopsided realms to ruin realms that are relatively balanced. Blizzard is literally actively making the problem far worse than what happens organically.

Heartseeker for one huge example, it was a late-opening realm that a lot of people rerolled onto, and had a pretty balanced ratio. Then Blizzard opened transfers from horribly lopsided H-A realms for weeks, and now its like 80-20 A-H. They literally ruined the server with transfers.

Because if they do something the #nochanges crowd will lose their collective minds. And those of you who are #nochange’rs and complaining about imbalance should be ashamed of yourselves. #%^+ing hypocrites.

Then you got the people that will scream about their civil liberties being infringed upon.

It’s a no win scenario.

This is LITERALLY up to the community to fix. Instead of whining about how awful it is how about you use the transfers you’ve been afforded for MONTHS now. And if you’re a whordie you have absolutely no room to complain. It’s because all of you edgelords out there with mommy & daddy issues that wanna play the “bad boy/gal” that put the community in this position in the first place.

And before ANY of you say, “Well, that’s not me [insert pathetic excuse here]”, YES, that means YOU. YOU are the problem.

How bout some personal #%^+ing accountability. Stop blaming Blizzard for your own shortcomings.

Right, absolve Blizzard of any responsibility. The launch was perfect. We really did only need two east coast pvp servers and I’m glad I sub’d early to reserve a name on one. Even though I ended up on the first server I could find that had a sub 3 hour wait, and that server is now 75% Horde. My bad!!!

It’s also the players fault that Blizzard allowed the minority faction to flee to new Alliance heavy servers, so now they are almost all f’d. God, what was I thinking, I hate myself, stupid boomer gamer!!
