Please, I’d love to try to get corrupted ashbringer or t3, I didn’t get a chance on my characters because I was playing a fresh start realm

How would it be more work? 40m Naxx is already there it is just inaccessible to us normal plebs.

Not quite. 10m and 25m Naxx literally uses the same instance as 40m, and all the mobs and bosses were changed. It’s not a copy that just looks the same, it literally IS the same instance.
They said this when they got asked this question at launch, and they said Naxx 40 would not be returning due to the work required.

Fair enough, but they definitely did work to strip it out with this classic version then.
All I know is that when this original situation happened Naxx 40 was still there. If you had GM teleporting powers you could get into it.
So as far as I see it, if they did extra work to take it out, they might as well do extra work to put it back in. In the long term, it would be more impactful than the 4th and 5th versions of every Wrath dungeon.

1 boss with a relatively small instance is presumably significantly less work than the entirety of Naxx, or the original Wrath devs didn’t overwrite old Onyxia’s Lair. One of the two.
No, what I was saying was in the original Wrath, the original Naxx 40 still existed. Not that the original Onyxia still existed.
To be honest it doesn’t make sense that they would take the time to remove Naxx 40 instead of just disabling the Naxx 40 portals and moving Naxxramas physical location in the world. They aren’t going to do more work when there is an easier solution.
Now if this was during Cataclysm that is an entirely different story.
Classic vanilla servers still have naxx 40?,
Wrath servers can still have Naxx 40. I have no idea about Classic Wrath and if that version of the dungeon is in the files and just locked off or not.

It’s one of those they could do it if they wanted to things. The old Naxx40 portal in Eastern Plaguelands still exists. It is possible to make that the zonein for Naxx40, while the necropolis itself stays permanently in Northrend.
It would be a cool thing to do, and it would promote the longevity of LKClassic.

I’m 6/9 T3 I would love to go back and finish it.
This took way too long to find, this is what was said a while back about the possibility:
I want this to be a thing. 40 naxx in wrath would be awesome. Lots of things to do in wrath and what more would I want than another instance to be preserved. I ran naxx like a madman trying to get everything i could before it went out and you bet i would absolutely advocate for the best comeback since classic launched.
Onyxia is an interesting choice because it only has like 3-4 items that are unique in appearance. This isn’t a transmog reason to save the instance. I’m not sure why they would start saving instances with this one but I’ll take it. I hope with the saving of the instance, they also make it so you can do the quel’serrar quest again because it has been broken since prepatch. Fairly certain the dragon slaying book has stopped dropping also. It was like that in the end of wrath so understandable but it seems to have been overlooked thus far. The reason it was taken out is because 60 onyxia was taken out- but Onyxia is still in the game and now will be for the forseeable future. Time to fix the quel quest.
Naxx is the bigger fish here. Blizzard loved it so much they brought back classic imho just for that instance. There is no reason they would force it off the servers for ever. If you really want the gear you could say “go play SOM and then transfer to wrath” and that is a viable option… but why make so many unnecessary steps? Why not just make it obtainable now? People can get the gear and then go to wrath so taking the instance out is just an unnecessary gatekeep.

The instance and the code still exists and is written by blizzard on era servers. There are shortcuts to this issue. They don’t have to drudge through and start from scratch (again). This is an easy fix. It’s just a matter of doing it.

And if despite that, they still said its a work issue, then there is likely something more complicated going on that you can’t comment on because you don’t have access to what they have access to.
Its always easy to say “It’s a simple fix” when you aren’t the one in charge of working on it.
