After reviewing warcraft logs, feral druid is the lowest played main spec in the game. Why was this small population of players targeted with another nerf? A 5% flat nerf is simply lazy, at least make the glyph a minor glyph.
“another nerf” they’re literally buffed 500 dps still from where they would be with no changes. And they don’t have to do all the jank weaving to reach those dps numbers.
The short answer a handful of people whined about Feral simming decently despite being the least forgiving melee dps and never possibly reaching that in actual encounters.
This is just normalizing the glyph so it’s not a buff.
Feral is low as a standalone spec but also should consider that feral used to be considered a pvp spec so they should consider themselves lucky to be able to do as good and to not have to do the multiple weaving which were the gameplay of feral dps early on. And druid as a whole will be great in ICC with resto druid finally being great, feral tank getting their 4p, feral dps even with nerf will be doing great and boomy is one of the most played specs.
Ignoring that sims do not reflect actual fight performance as they don’t reflect real world mechanics and feral is one of the hardest hit by that shows you are not discussing it in good faith.
Hunters weren’t buffed, we just scale really well with ArP like Warriors. Also, don’t believe Hunter sims, they’ve been inflated the entire expansion.
Trap launcher is a quality of life change more than it is a direct buff, the Hunter sim assumes you’ll use a whole 2 second trapping, so theoretically trap launcher only gives us an extra steady shot every 30 seconds.
