Blizzard has lost me

Not a I quit. Just quit playing much anymore. I don’t do raids. I don’t do mythic +. That doesn’t mean I don’t need good gear to make open world and other content more enjoyable. At ilvl 210 on my lock, it’s just now getting tolerable. I mean try the elite area in the maw on anything below 200 and forget it.

Casual solo player should be able to get competitive gear without having to do pvp. Mythics or raids. There is so much more to the game than that crap.

Ah… but we get the gear for the content we do. With just Covenant gear alone, we’re almost Normal raid ilevel. And world quest rewards do scale! It’s quite nice.

Odd… at ilevel 195 on my characters, I was easily killing things.

We do have it. They gave us Covenant gear with bonuses that work for what we do in the world. You don’t need better than Normal ilevel to kill world quests.

Do you really do well I the sections in the maw loaded with elites? All I see there are dead people unless in a group

The covenant gear is close to being ok. Close.

You mean the group quests? Of course. Because I group up and don’t attempt to solo something that was clearly meant for groups.

You do miss the point of wanting it to get easier over time. That doesn’t happen if we don’t have a normal upgrade path. In the past normal dungeons would give tokens and we could get something when we felt like it. Now it’s a hard stop.

I am very much hoping they extend the ranks on Covenant gear, so that in new patches, when we get higher ilevels, our set will keep up.

Tokens? You mean Valor Points and the like? We would still end up right where we are. They aren’t going to feed you Mythic raid gear for not actually running Mythic raids, my good man.

You’ve managed to get to an almost Heroic ilevel overall, while raiding Heroic Nathria… and you are somehow complaining?

You must understand that you get the gear for the content you run. You’ve cleared the raid on Heroic and you are upset that you cannot get better gear, but you don’t want to run what you need to get better gear?

Please, try to use a modicum of logic. Your complaints are mind boggling.

I’m sure gear available from WQs and callings will continue to scale as it has in past ex-pacs, though you may have to wait for the next major patch to see a significant increase.

a resounding no

By “tolerable” you mean “easy”?

Not to worry op the catch up gear some hate will be coming soon. Then I’ll finally have a reason to level my healer and tank alts. And I won’t be stuck for three years at 192 item level

Why not?

Its not going to hurt the competitive scene anyway because you wouldn’t even let the fresh blood in without experience.

Except that isnt true in the real world.

Its incredibly easy for fresh blood to get into the heroic raid scene.

Lol, had no problems killing stuff at 186 on my hunter weeks ago. That hunter is now 210 and everything scaled up with her, so it doesn’t matter.

Hard disagree. If you want competitive gear, you should actually have to compete in properly tiered content. That’s the point.

Oh right.

I forgot they where hurting for people anyway.

I have no clue what point you are trying to make.

You nailed it. We can’t really get much ahead because of the damned gear scaling as well

If you cant get ahead in open world content with 210 ilvl…its not a scaling issue.

Kills took forever, but no issues soloing anything in the maw in the 190-200 range on my guardian druid. Was much faster as a feral, but a lot more skill needed for some of them.

Using CC helps a lot.
