I just wish rated didnât mean arena in most cases, because small group PvP in this game is terrible. If you donât already have a crew youâre running RBGs with (or canât run with a crew for some reason), good luck getting anywhere with yolo groups.

I see most asking to continue to be competitive so that if they happen to meet a gladiator in world PVP, they are not going to get smoked by gear alone.

your demanding others not be allowed to play in their preferred content because you want your gear to have some kind of elite status based on some kind of arbitrary notion that the only fair system is one where only the top players matter and get to enjoy the game. then blanket insult people who disagree with you

Why do people perceive a system where skill determines the outcome of a fight as entitlement?

The reason I turned XP off on 6 of my alts is because I wanted to always have a âPvP arcade outletâ with a frozen item level hierarchy so I donât have to worry about mythic raidingâŚ
Oh? Iâm a bad guy because I turned XP off and geared up my PvP alts eh? This is objectively WRONG. Blizzard can easily implement more reasonable item level caps for each bracket, especially post level squish.
WE PAY $15.00 A MONTH and we deserve better.

no a casual cant. they will be standing dead in a graveyard that is not playing. the ability to que is not the same as the ability to play. for your ideas to work either 1 of 2 things have to occur. 1) there is a floor for the gear personâŚie the person who completed the hardest difficulty is locked to that difficulty or 2) the floor is brought to the level where the bottom can remain competitive against the top player even at a slight gear disparity. that is how you maximize player experience. stating âOnLy PeOpLe WhO Do HaRdEsT DiFfIcUltY GeT tO EnJoY CoNtEnT yOu MiLlEnNiAl SnOwFlAkEâ is both elitism and counter-intuitive to promoting healthy play and dialog.

So now multiple public forums/communities (reddit, Stoopz, and now Asmongold) are praising the new system as âbetterâ, but over on this particular board itâs a bunch of complain threadsâŚ

Unfortunately, that is about all you are going to get from some here. LOL.
Standing dead in graveyard is what you deserve since you donât want to the hardest PVP content. You also deserve to lose 1v1s in the world for the same reason since you didnât queue up in an arguably toxic, high stress environment since you simply donât enjoy that.
I actually enjoy winning engagements being undergeared and when I shouldnât however itâs just going to at least be competitive.
I am fairly certain that the majority of people who are going to play and experience this are currently unaware as this wasnât a âBIG CHANGES ANNOUNCMENTâ on the blizzard side of things.

Certainly only the people who participate in the âhardestâ pvp content should be able to actively participate in the âeasiestâ pvp content of random battlegrounds. That makes perfect sense.

This seems a bit reductive. To say that all these threads are âcomplain threadsâ seems a bit hyperbolic. This only serves to minimize individual concerns that could very well impact you or others if they were otherwise silenced.
I will concede that some are here just to complain, but it seems that there are earnest posters who acknowledge the pros of this change, while being able to point out the flaws.
Letâs not let the content creators and streamers be the only mouthpieces of the community. While their influence does help in some ways, it can also trap us into some very one-dimensional thinking which is not conducive to improving the game.

Not only that but those die hard raging toxic elitists are going to be farming the bgs looking specifically for undergeared fodder

All random bg players want is gear from random bgs that is good enough to be viable In random bgs itâs not all that confusing. At the moment that is not the case in shadowlands it could be solved by adding conquest to random bgs a pvp stat for pvp gear or some mix of the two.
