For example, there is a heavy versatility only pve trinket (not nerfed) that gives you slightly more versatility than the pvp set bonus (around ilvl 200). BUT, it also gives you the defensive benefit of versatility where the pvp set bonus doesn’t.

Stone Legion trinket?
At Heroic ilvl that only gives 92 flat versatility. The trinket bonus would give more than that. Say you have 400 versatility, the trinket bonus would give you an additional 160.
