Blizzard gives the alliance high elves. Are you negatively affected?

What doesn’t make sense is Void Elves… they literally didn’t even exist until their unlock scenario… High Elves on the Alliance does make sense, and it is 100% within the lore, not just from WC2, but even in WoW current. High Elves are STILL operating within the alliance.

For real. There’s high elf sanctums in many alliance towns. There’s high elf NPCs everywhere. Idk what game these people play.

And, honestly, this is the best argument for their inclusion (even from someone who doesn’t particularly want them). They’re here. They’ve always been here.

But they are a faction called Silver Covenant, and if they work in SC elves as a playable “race,” then I’d like to see Shadowlands set up a better reason for them to join rather than remaining apart as the tiny group they’ve always been. If we’re suddenly going to have thousands of them running around in the world, there MUST BE a reason there are suddenly more than a handful in existence.

A huge part of their story has always been that there are only handful of them out there. They’re powerful and they ally with the Alliance when their interests call for it, but they are SMALL in number. I really have to stress that we need to see some SC elf babies or have some stories added that make sense of a sudden population surge if they’re added to the game as playable.

There are Dark Rangers all over the game in Horde areas too. Doesn’t mean Blizzard should add them as a playable class. Some things exist in the game just to add flavor. There are two variants of playable High Elf in the game. Adding the original High Elf wouldn’t make sense in a world where Void Elves are already playable. Should HE replace VE as a playable race?

I don’t even want to play a high elf. I just don’t like Ion gaslighting us like “there were never any high elves, those are blood elves!” It’s so insulting.

So, is all the head canon thrown around on the forums.

Pro tip: it’s spelled “canon”. If you’re going to overuse the phrase, might as well learn it.

Thanks, for your feedback it doesn’t matter. Also, it is never overused. I am sure you have your own head canon.

If it doesn’t matter, you probably wouldn’t have edited though.

Yes because we have too many elves for one.
And you guys don’t deserve to have a race that’s already playable just because it’s not on your faction

I doesn’t matter. I just like seeing all the head canon on these threads.

I know you never fat fingered anything your limited lifetime.

I would agree. Void Elves made absolutely no sense. There must be less of those than the original High Elves that did not leave the Alliance. Blizzard does whatever it wants and Blood Elves are fine with me so IDC about High Elves. That said, if we want to get some faction balance I would think High Elves could help achieve that. Might be a poor reason for adding a race but considering what happened when Blood Elves were introduced I can not think the same would not happen in reverse.

Ok you care about the story but the story has now gone past WC3 .

Should Blizz be stuck in 2002 -2004 with their story just because of MUH LORE.

WoW is a evolving game and new stories which becomes the new lore has to happen

I’m personally affected because my race is getting copied and pasted over to the alliance so they can have their pretty tolkein elves, and thus taking story elements away from my own race in the process.

Void elves didn’t do this because they have their own thing going on. High elves don’t.
