I think it’s really cool to have as a feature. It can be more immersive as well as inclusive. Nothing worse than being called champion by someone I’ve been with through some of their most harrowing traumas. It’s so impersonal

I don’t think it’s necessary. Your character is fictional. Its gender is also its sex. And you can roleplay that it isn’t, but if they add pronouns to the game, inevitably someone is gonna misgender your CHARACTER, you’re gonna have a b**-fit, and then they’ll get banned for offending your fictional, non-feeling character, lol.
Most of us play the game to escape the real world. Because it’s nice to have a mental break. I don’t need anyone dragging the drama into the gameworld because it gets them attention. I say this as a member of the LGBT community that doesn’t feel the need to go around knocking people upside the head with my sexuality 24/8. There are a lot of things i wanna be known for before “gay.”
Honestly I just want pronouns to control how NPCs address our character so we can curate a more personal experience.
I find in Shadowlands most NPCs call my character they/them which to me is jarring because I think of her as she/her. So an option would be nice. And they/them can be such an option.
It would only be player facing, not something in a right click panel on your character everyone could see. Other people knowing your character’s pronoun is only relevant in RP anyway and we already have ways of signalling that information with addons.
I think it fully depends on how it’s done.
Personally I hate Body 1/2. I wish it were still Male/Female
With them adding in Pronouns and Voice options additional to that.
Body 1/2 feels very disconnecting to me.
As for pronouns I’m worried about the potential.
But that’s because I know it will be added into the Barber Shop, and changeable.
Which could cause issues where Quest Text or NPCs say the wrong pronouns for the player and it upsets them.
I don’t think it will be Player facing to where you’d hover over a character and it’d say their pronouns so the argument of accidentally misgendering another player is kinda mute.
But that is just my concern, that the pronouns will be glitchy and it will lead to people being hurt and more political/media turmoil for the game.
DF is looking like this may become reality.
