Nah. Not all of us went full on nuclear. Or even stepped foot into the durn thing.
There is an item that is from follower mission table i think that grants you a box that has 1200 garrison resources and that box is sellable on ah
No they mean exactly what they said, https://www.wowhead.com/item=128313/huge-ogre-cache that can be bought on the AH
And you get 500 resources for free from the cache box if you give it a day. So at the very worst, and the person was feeling completely lazy and did not want to spend the 15-20min or so that it takes as Tempermental said to just go around and grab the resources, log on once a day for four days and you got your tier3 main building.
Garrison resources fall from the sky out in WoD land.
this thread is proof that GD will reeeee about anything
You mis-spelled “furbolg”.
Huh, TIL I guess, I never even knew that item existed lol
Garrison resources and those shards and that another primal item . I have sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much of them in my currency tab + in bank and nowhere to spend .
I came to know about it last year too lul .
I’d kill for an actual furbolg form. They’ve been around since Vanilla I’ve wanted one since, either as a race or a form. They didn’t make the cut for ARs so maybe a form? Oh, they could be a new “resto” form for Druids. Or even a glyph for bear form! Speaking of which, there needs to be more glyphs altering Druid forms I’m thinking…
glyphs are kinda dead… shame. cool concept.
Since WoD. BoE item from Garrison Tables. 1000 Garrison resources per box. On my server they got for about 5k each.
Mhorti: as I posted in my reply to the original post with that link: TIL that exists
Hah, so me keeping up with Garrisons (out of fun) wasn’t wasted, afterall
Quick tips for faster garrison:
1> use a level 50+ type toon to have all the level-specific quests open
2> go on the quest line that ends with kimzee pinchwhistle joining as a follower so you can get a salvage yard asap (well, do all the intro stuff to start a garrison first - might google the secret underwater shortcut with chairs if it’s still there)
3> gather up a few more followers in the immediate area on another hour or so of quests
4> throw all those people on garrison-resource missions
5> hearth to the AH and biu some ‘huge garrison cache’ that have 2000 GR each I think
6> build a salvage yard and an inn
7> keep throwing followers on garrison missions while you quest around a bit for more followers
8> do whatever the tooltip says to upgrade your garrison, maybe buy more huge garrison caches to build more if needed
—the engineering building is nice for sky terrors,
—the dwarven bunker is nice for faster upgrading followers,
----getting the inn to whatever level lets you recruit followers with extreme scavenging trait will be key,
----getting salvage yard to level 2-3 will get more GR from crates off missions.
Actually, the inn might only be once per week and not once per day to recruit someone sorry. Still a good way to pile up extreme scavenger followers - plenty of xmog and rep stuff to get off the mission tables and a gnonn mount on mission tables if you haven’t played WoD before. Also an heirloom ring and another mount off a shipyard table and some more xmogs. I recommend using a warrior so you can get all the gardening weapon xmogs too.
When you max out enough rep, and apexis crystals, there’s a windfall of titles, a few terribly ferocious looking mounts, and some toys and knickknacks. You can also get a full stormwind guard xmog mostly from dwarven bunker scraps and spamming a dungeon for a few rusty armor tokens. The dwarven bunker also has one of the skimpiest leather armors.
Yrel quest line is fantastic up throuh the part where she sprouts wings andsaves you while you’re saving her. Great soundtracks too.
Horde questline is mostly funny and fun. I remember running around alot of giant balls coming at me.
Actually the questing was all pretty fun, just pathfinder was grueling. Sky terror lets you fly to just about anywhere from anywhere though, but you might want a goblin glider or some slow fall to descend safely from as high as it gets you. Or drop over deep water. Edit: actually, engineer can make something to put in a cape that makes your cape a perma-glider. probably an ilevel/level limit on the cape you can do that too though. Also forget there’s a void tendril trinket off mission tables and now and then a battle pet.
You might miss the gorilla mount this year, but have piles of better stuff in time to get the gorilla mount next year. Giant 2-headed fiery dogmonster could eat two gorillas for breakfast…
Enjoy!!!
Still a few BoE items that come from there you can make gold with even. Reminded me to go back over and check them out lol.
I think I have several stuck in a bank somewhere… hmmm are they selling for anything now?
I never really left my Garrisons. It’s still my content
I go back there with all my Ashran bones to turn those in still. I just always forget to keep up on them =(
On my server 5k each atm.
