It’s more work than just starting one on a forum that already has the tech.
This seems like an odd hill to die on.

Yeah I kinda agree with the dude in this. It’s kind of a you problem.
Yes, but more of your verified target audience would see it and interact with it. Apparently, there are 7 million people that play DF, but less than 1% even voted for the tier set bonuses. Doing the work once could lead to other polls and interactions in the future, also. Want players to vote on which Glad mount they get next season? Throw up a poll for people with a specific rating or higher. Should we do fated raids or have a smaller three boss raid for season 4? Throw out a poll.
I mean, if they really want to listen to feedback, that’s one great way to get it, and it would make the game better, even just a little.
Gotta admit that’s some classic shaman shinanigans right there
I think really the default response from anyone who would know would be something along the lines of, our forum comes from a third party and voting polls are not part of the package Blizz signed up for.
As far as it being outside the realm of possibility? I doubt it’s impossible. It’s coding. Someone can do that. I do think it’s highly improbable.
Waste time to make in game poll or use pre-existing assets… any company will go with pre-existing assets.
There are only two problems with the poll and it not being in game wasn’t one of them.
Same thing happened with Elemental. Meatball spam was voted for S4, even though the S1 set would have been great for Meatballs and Lightning alike.
Every appearance should be available.
Make everything an omni token, let ppl go buy.
Make everything with catalyst end in 3 choices.
I understand them picking one tier set bonus though, cause tuning.
Pre-existing assets? You mean like not being able to show the actual transmog sets IN the poll section? They didn’t even have a separate post that showed the appearance of each tier set. They just had links that went to each bonus and appearance poll. If you wanted to actually see the choices, you had to look for them on Wowhead’s news post, which they didn’t even link to that.
Meaning? Like each account gets one vote for one class or spec? I’m unclear on what you mean.
Which could have been done anyway, but still wasn’t. All the tools were available already for that one.
Who even checks their email anymore? I have one setup for Blizzard only, and I never check it unless I have a problem.
Doing extra things for QoL improvements is a normal thing. They revamped the in-game UI with minimal people even asking for one. It just showed up at the reveal. People were mostly content using addons to make the UI look the way they wanted. It was just a nice QoL improvement that largely went celebrated. It was good for the health of the game. This could be, too.
69.420% of statistics are made up.
Pre-existing assets? You mean like not being able to show the actual transmog sets IN the poll section?
Why would this be a thing? You know what the sets look like. Why would this be in any poll? It’s text. What a weird thing to argue.
Meaning? Like each account gets one vote for one class or spec?
You can only vote for each poll once per account.
Who even checks their email anymore?
… everyone.
You know what the sets look like.
Not everyone knows. Either they forgot what they looked like or started after they were gone.
You can only vote for each poll once per account.
That was already a thing. What I’m talking about is one vote per class, but only if you have that class at level 70 already. No sense in a low level voting, nor a player that doesn’t play that class. You’re only inviting trolls at that point, which is exactly what happened.
… everyone.
Not everyone. A lot of people use secondary email accounts for their games instead of using their main email account, and unless you check it every day, you’re likely never to see those emails.
Not everyone knows.
They’re sitting in front of your face in game. Using this as an argument for how a poll is bad is pretty nonsensical to me.
That was already a thing.
No it wasn’t. I could swap to alts and vote again.
What I’m talking about is one vote per class, but only if you have that class at level 70 already.
That’s bs. No.
A lot of people use secondary email accounts for their games
So do I. But I’m still not dumb enough to never check my email for news about my games. It was a SECOND method I mentioned, along with using the launcher to advertise, and you’re arguing nonsensically about it.
I can’t with this anymore. This is a really ridiculous argument. I’m out.
They’re sitting in front of your face in game.
The looks, yes, but not the stats.
I could swap to alts and vote again.
I see what you’re saying now. Yes, allowing alts to vote on the same one was also a bad move.
That’s bs.
So, you’re fine with Johnny Awesome who only does Heroic dungeons making giving his input on PvP sets? You’re fine with Xxxragekingxxx the PvP bro who does nothing but random battlegrounds being able to vote for which M+/raid sets we get? You’re also fine with people who not only don’t have an Evoker, but have been active on the forums stating they hate meeting them in arena because they’re too OP, giving their “valuable” vote to give the worst set possible just to troll?
That’s why I suggested only being allowed to vote for the class sets with a level capped character of that class. You get better data sets that way. And it being entirely in-game means more people are likely to be included.
But I’m still not dumb enough to never check my email for news about my games.
Dude, you’re not dumb if you never check your game email. Don’t be so hard on yourself.
