There were Customer Support layoffs in 2011, but the workforce has grown since then, and is bigger than it was that year.

In IT and eSports, CS was unaffected in 2019, the last cut was 2012, and they started hiring again after that.

Yes, but none were from Customer Support.

In addition to the good info given, out of that 800 laid off, only a few over 200 were from Blizzard. As others said, not CS. I think out of them all about 14 came out of the CS team.
