Blizzard, do something please

The majority of your players are sitting in 3+ hour queue just to play the game. There HAS to be something you guys can do to fix this. I don’t care what it is at this point, we just want to play the game. Thank you.

At this point I wish it was 3 hours. I’m on 7 hours and counting, probably 2 more to go by the looks of things. Cant even leave the computer – what if it pops?

Yeah and it’s not like you can just leave and do something else. I have been disconnected multiple times while in queue

yeah, I’m at 4 hours, and says still 298 minutes to go.

I’m going to play devils advocate here and ask you, what else should they do? Since you are truly bothered by this, what is the solution?

Other than kicking people out, I don’t see what else they can do other than the free character transfers.

Right? I’m on Groubbulus and I’ve been hanging in queue 7 and 1/2 hours…I mean Blizz you can’t possibly wonder why people giggle when they hear of your fall from grace…

Benediction, Faerlina and Grobb all have a 9 hour queue.

come on man, they could have seen this coming a mile away. I know it is what it is, and people saying they’re going to leave the game are ‘meh’ , but this is a game from 2008…and WotLK was the height of WoW.

I’d rather not play the game than be on a dead server so I’m forced to wait, but lets not give Blizz a pass.

That is just sad

Add more servers, cross-realm/server and add RDF.
Let people spread out without worry of losing friends and
being able to do dungeons whenever. We shouldn’t be dealing with this guys lmao.

I’m sorry but we need Retail features to save us…they’ve helped before obviously.

Well, if we ask ourselves why Retail doesn’t have queues on launch days, we might find the solution. Because clearly, the one-time one-way free transfers to a server you hope isn’t dead in 3 months forcing you to then pay to transfer to a populated server isn’t working.

I get how long they had but at what point do you realize that in the current circumstances your choice comes with consequences?

These servers they’re letting you transfer to aren’t dead anymore.

So my question stands, what else should they do? Understand that I’m not giving them a pass, rather I’m trying to see how the constant “blizz do something” can make any sense now

Idk man, why they still haven’t made a mega server is beyond me. Obviously retail has much more resources given to it and many many more servers + cross realm, but I wouldn’t see how that can solve classics problem without causing a massive stir up

Not sure tbh and I really dont care what they do. I know there’s people hogging up slots on the servers in bad faith and they might consider targeting those people as a possible solution to help the queues a little.

I dont mind waiting my turn, but the queue is outlandish, unreliable and requires constant supervision.

I’ve been playing WoW since 2004, and Blizz is notorious for having the players pay for their screw-ups. Server transfer for free, and leave your guild, friends, etc for another server that will be dead by the next patch?

Let’s see how Old Blanchy is in a month…so I can pay $25 bucks to xfer off if it goes back to being a dead server? If you’ve ever played on a dead server before…it sucks. And without RDF (no matter your view of it, pro or con) it’s just a bad choice.

They are doing something, collecting the MONEY

Yeah that’s all they really care about. No feedback or response from them at all. I doubt they even read these forums

I agree. I mean I hate to think that way about a company I’ve been behind for so long but, the honest truth is that they aren’t the same company they used to be. The treat classic like their second class citizen, their “we will make money from it if we can, we don’t really care” resort. I mean from a business standpoint what they are doing with the transfers makes sense. Offer free transfers, if it doesn’t pan out, players pay to transfer back. If it does, no harm no foul. But like, that’s definitely a bad way to operate.

This is the obvious answer, but everyone crowding onto megaservers thinks these features are going to erode their “sense of community”.
In reality, if you added these changes and everyone was still able to play the game with their friends whenever they wanted… nobody would care after a month.

Propose another solution to the queue problem.

They’ve already explained that they can’t just make bigger servers. They are literally capped out. They can’t add layers because the servers themselves are FULL. The only way to allow people to play the game is to let them transfer to a server that isn’t full and doesn’t have a queue.

The only reason people are worried about “dead servers” is because if you are on a very low pop server, you can’t find people to do content with.
Retail features like cross realm RDF and cross realm LFG tool would immediately remove this fear of playing on a “dead realm” because you would still be able to do content. It’s their commitment to archaic systems that’s causing the queue problem. However, because the Classic community at-large seems to be against these changes, the only option is risk transferring to a dead server or deal with 9-hour queues.
