I have no quarrels with them keeping unaltered Classic servers til the end of time. I would actually prefer it that way, then I’ll never have to deal with any of the “#NoChanges” idiots and they can all rot together. I just want this to allow Blizzard to try this over again and hopefully get it right this time.
Destroy is a matter of opinion. I would also say that an online petition is not the thing that motivated blizzard to do this as much as it would seem that Omar showing them its possible to do this and doing there own market research would be a far better indicator. While i know that number of 280k is just people that reponded to the poetition the overall number is still higher and more than post on these forums.
Though i agree they could have both severs and less problems had they wanted to address this sooner.
I suspect that if they were to host TBC or WOTLK realms down the road, they would be brand new realms, and Classic would not be affected.

I wouldn’t read anything into the comment other than “There’s a possibility we’ll have more expansions”. I would figure that should have been obvious regardless.

Don’t want addons? Don’t use them?
Don’t want to level to 70? Don’t level.
Don’t want LFG? Don’t use it.

I have no problem with people wanting TBC or Wrath servers but forcing classic servers over to a TBC or Wrath server would be a slap in the face to all who have begged and pleaded for classic server over the last 5 years. Make TBC/Wrath/Classic+ servers thats fine but… LEAVE THE CLASSIC SERVERS CLASSIC. If they force classic servers to be TBC/WRATH/Classic+ I would be done.
Feeling the same here. Part of what’s drawing me to Classic is the appeal of finally getting off the treadmill for good.

If they choose progression, they choose progression, it is what it is. If they preserve this and leave it forever it is what it is. You’re getting yourself all worked up and the game hasn’t even been released. Enjoy what we’ve got.

Classic servers should stay static and remain classic.
They should release standalone TBC, Wrath, and onward as independent stand alone static servers.
No i don’t think character transfer or copy should be used either. I think TBc should be 60-70. Wrath 70-80. So on and so forth.
Start everyone on the same foot and allow server economies to develope as the game progresses. This will ensure longer playability and not allow the previous expansion to affect the economy from day 1.

I’m going to add the way I think would be best to handle a TBC launch.
- Classic servers stay classic.
- TBC servers start fresh.
- TBC server still goes through Classic content phasing
- After Naxx is downed (or some trigger) on TBC server then unlock TBC expansion and open server transfers from Classic to TBC servers for those that wish to transfer.
Lets not start screaming the sky is falling until it is actually falling please.
I’m in it for the journey from level 1 to level 60. There will be enough content in Classic to keep me busy for LONG time even after I hit 60.

Make TBC and have it forced upon everyone? Not gonna happen.
Not trying to pick a fight but surely you know you are being unreasonable. Just for one example lets say you are someone against addons, which I am not, but one reason some people so not like them is damage meters, that it causes some drama and exposes people not doing good dps.
You can not just decide not to use damage meters and solve the problem, someone is going to post the meters and notify you that you suck.
You can not just say “If you don’t like it, don’t use it”.
It happened before, I do not see why it would not happen again if that is what the community wants. Just beed to have good discussion on what we want and I think it will happen. Blizzard has not announced what is going to happen next, I am sure part of that reason is that they are not sure yet. Generate good discussion about it. I am sure we got a couple of years.
