These groups solely exist to farm group after group. They ruin the PvP aspect for other players and are partly why players refuse to play PvP at all. There is no good reason for pub stomp groups to run as rampant as they do.
BLIZZ could care less you have to quit giving them your money BUY a new game
In PvP at Honor Level 51, how can you tell if you’re facing a premade team or just players with better knowledge and experience in the game? After all, it’s a 20-year-old game.
Think I’ve made arguments for and against premades in epic bgs, even confuse myself. Epics with experienced players on both teams are great fun, some of the best in WoW - against that ‘premades’ use addons and exploit the queue system to run in packs of larger than five against the so-called game design (otherwise raid queuing would be available).
It’s a game design issue, one the designers refuse to address - and let’s be blunt, aren’t going to. So either a) solo/regular queue and take what enjoyment you can, b) join one of the communities or c) play something else, something better designed.
Problem with solutions a) and b) is they both lead to mostly terrible matches. You’ll usually be fighting for or against an uncoordinated mess and the result’s been determined as soon as the queue pops. Now some people like that because they’re weird and would probably have versed the under-10s team in high school if given the chance, but for regular gamers who enjoy competition, it’s less than ideal.
Have no solutions to fixing it. Neither do Blizz apparently.
I think that’s where I’m at right now. So confusing with how I feel. Having much more fun just solo or duo queuing epics these days but nothing really beats a premade vs premade when it actually happens. I’m both for and against premades depending on my fluctuating mood lol
I agree. Let’s be honest. 99% of the time these aren’t irl friends who want to play together, it’s people who grouped with the intention of pug stomping. If only there was a way to differentiate the people who do want to play with a real friend.
I think the best thing anyone can do to preserve their sanity in this game is by playing a variety of pvp.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results.
How? Because random battlegrounds are not normally filled with hyper coordinated teams and maxed out gear.
Honor Level really has nothing to do with it these days, Im only HL 150 but could probably beat you more than not 1v1.
I see the same players premade after premade after premade. They should be facing premades. Not pugs.
Based on his games played, he seems to be mostly a random battleground player with little experience in epics. Most premades in random battlegrounds are a party of five, which is within the official limit.
Honor level doesn’t really reflect skill in 1v1 situations. /sigh. It just shows participation experience. True game awareness only comes with experience. At that honor level, it’s fair to ask how much pvp game awareness they’ve developed.
It’s the end of the season. Why wouldn’t they be in maxed-out gear? In random BGs, the most ‘coordinated’ group you’ll find is a party of five, and you can’t really sync random BGs beyond that.
It’s a well-known fact that the Alliance dominates random battlegrounds. As a Horde player, you should join the Horde communities that queues in groups of five too for random battlegrounds. Otherwise, you’re always going to find yourself at a disadvantage.
Blizz isn’t going to make changes to stop groups of five from queuing for random battlegrounds. It’s within the rules, and there’s no reason for them to change that.
In random BGs, this is how it always goes: whether it’s all pugs or there’s a party of five on the Alliance side, they’ll always fight where their healers are. It’s the smart play.
Meanwhile, the Horde scatters in different directions, ignoring where their healers are. 10 seconds after the first team clash, you’ll hear complaints like, ‘Our heals are so bad!’ But in reality, they were out of range of their healers the whole time.
Same. Premades vs premades can be the most fun you can have. On the other hand, queing solo is the most fun I’ve had in a while, on both my toons. Facing a premade tho as a pug is insane, waste of time.
As for me, I don’t really care much on winning or losing as pugs do. I don’t care lol.
People do it in epics. Not sure why it would stop there. There are always people that need every advantage available to win. Plus, in 10-man bg’s a 5-man has a huge sway on the game.
cease and desist
if you want people back, stop putting premades. that upsets people. they leave to that disadvantage. has to be pug vs. pug is fair. this is why it got unbalanced.
The sync exploiters don’t care at all, they will gladly keep doing it no matter what. Once the game is dead and they are just dodging each other they will blame everything but themselves.
Alright, I’ll be a bit more direct here.
You’ve been playing since 2009 and have a whopping 1550/1400 rating achieve in arena/RBG. Please stop talking as if you are well versed in PvP.
May as well remove random bg’s while we’re at it.
Just limit group size to queue bgs to 3 players, simple.
