Blizzard being scared to just give blood elves blue eye option

to be fair, that’s not really answering the question but you can be forgiven since you’re not the person I was asking :stuck_out_tongue:

Pandaren are a good example of the “you need to differentiate the sides” argument being rather petty. Let’s be real here, no one would really be making this argument for any race not “elf”. If Alliance got Vulpera, we wouldn’t be seeing arguments about how horrible it was they got the goblin model.

Whether Blizzard admits it or not, neutral Pandaren was a huge mistake. They should have been Alliance only and the Horde given a different race.

I wouldn’t be against a change up personally. (I don’t have that strong of an emotional connection to the story, so as long as it made “wow levels” of sense lore wise) I just don’t think they ever would do it.

I wonder if giving Void Elves normal skin/hair colors would make them stop. They would still go all voidy in combat, but it’s a small price to pay.

You are probably right.

Before BFA’s uh, BFA, I was hoping we’d get a split with Tyrande and Sylvy being the two warmongers of their respective factions and basically splitting into a more WC3-esque scenario, with humans and orcs worrying about “ARGH THERE’S A WORLD ENDING THREAT!” and the NElves and the Undead representing the more PvP basis of the factions

pity about all that, huh?

Disagreed. Pandaren have more connection with the Horde given, y’know, WC3 and Chen’s whole thing

I’m not on one side or the other, but I promise that it would not be well received by either side’s vocal minority.

Yeah, I was wrong there.

However, during the war campaign, Umbric states:

We do not stand with the Alliance out of convenience. Nor is it a mere gesture of thanks to Alleria.

Our ordeal has taught us the importance of great powers being in the right hands. We could not allow the Horde to know the things we know, or to use us as a weapon in their schemes. We fight for the Alliance because we believe in its values. And one day, I pray we will bring all of Silvermoon back into the fold.

So, if Umbric is something to go by, the void elves are not Horde loyal.

The void elves joined the Alliance before the fourth war. If that old god you are referring to is N’zoth, the Horde and Alliance are at peace by the time we fight him, and the void elves joined before that as well.

That is true though, people should have been much more suspicious of the void elves.

Fine. Alliance gets high elves, then blood elves can have blue eyes.

Don’t give up hope. I definitely am just speculating. I’ve been wrong quite a few times. I just hide all evidence.

I think it’s more because blood elves are literally, exactly high elves aside from a few unobtrusive differences like eye color and maybe tattoos. Vulpera at least are a completely separate race.

i feel like they are almost setting up for a 4 faction system, with the night elves leaving the alliance and bolvar creating a new scourge, so we’d have all 4 factions from WC3.

but then again i also feel like they’d never do something like that

In the Void Elf starting zone we see a lot of High Elf travelers coming to investigate and see what Alleria and these new Void Elves were up too.

(Once again teasing the fact High Elves exist on Alliance.) But that does give room for them to expand Void Elves in the future and relate them to High Elves in a way.

I am so with you on this. I really really wish they had kept 4 factions in wow, Alliance, Horde, Nightelves and Undead.
And then the bloodelves could have joined with us night elves for an elf faction that would make way more sense in lore than them joining with their ancient enemies becasue they needed some pretty.

Lol @ scared…idk if you think the title to your thread will catch their attention or not but if so, that’s cute.

As the gnome stated, “what he said” ^

You MUST be new here if you have this mindset. lol

:sparkles:

Ya’ll want blue eyes? Well YOU ALL GET BLUE EYES NOW

Also Death Knights: are we a joke to you?

The High Elf debate has existed since burning crusade.

A lot of Horde players use to be on The Alliances side of "why isn’t this an Alliance race?" But as Alliance players rerolled and became ingrained in The Horde side, we saw that start to fade away.

I still think there planing to add it in as some quest reward think nightelf night warrior.

Either that, or they will cave and just put Helves on Alliance.

Doesn’t really matter anyway. People will make all kinds of arguments and requests for adding all manners of races to the game “they’re just cosmetic!” But you mention Helf it’s funny how quickly that will do a 180.

Yeah. I did find it a little odd that the only person that seemed to be at all concerned about it was Umbric. Everyone else was just sort of “Oh, you made these rocks that pull someone into the Void? Neat! Lets try them out on BE Paladins.”
