As of yesterday people that sit afk and do not participate ARE being banned. Check reddit, lots of screenshots already.

You call it abuse, but the Alliance win rate was much higher then, and games had no AFKers.

Fancy that.

Alliance premades should be allowed back. There was no room for afkers, back peddling, keyboard turning or bot scripting.

Horde also got much lower needed que times.

Hasn’t this been happening forever? I can recall many posts on GD about being afk in battlegrounds; I’m presuming it was for that reason that the report function currently available in retail was instituted. Now, I haven’t done any battlegrounds in Classic so far - is there not a kick function that can be used to vote kick people who are afk?

I spoke with a GM a week or two ago and they assured me you most certainly can and will be banned for not participating in battlegrounds. It might not be as severe as botters getting six month bans, but they will punish afkers as well.

the problem with your analogy is we have people doing it entire games, multiple games at a time. yeah that’s an issue whenever 12/40 are afk in the cave.

Also if it’s so damn important im sure the honor and rep can wait until the next que.
