Blizzard banning BG afkers?

Only 2?

For giggles, see if they are join botting, send them a summon.
Usually to certain death, or close proximity to a large amount of civilians so they can load up on DHK’s

If they arrive, you know what to do.

Despite the understandable skepticism in this thread, looks like a ban wave actually happened. 4 of my raiders who admitted in Discord to AFKing in AV were banned for 7 days. Unfortunately 2 of them were tanks and the other 2 were our top DPS, so BWL probably isn’t happening this week.

So it looks like bans DID go out, but whether or not is was only for being AFK in AV remains to be seen. Regardless, it looks like Horde queues will be getting longer.

Trump would just build walls through mid-field in WSG and AV. There’d also be heavy tariffs on the goblin AH’s The world would be run by human males, a few night elf females, and the Argent Crusaders would have a seat at the table.

Your friend is lying to you! You cannot be banned from the game for not participating in a BG.

They are banning afkers now. I can attest to the fact that it is easier for a player to get the afk debuff now. Only downside is every game i enter this morning has already started because the akfers have been booted

I don’t know why people think it’s a lie (I’m sure there will be plenty of evidence soon in the CS forum as people cry and claim innocence).

*It’s a suspension though, not a ban.

People should be suspended for such behavior. This and the premade crap that went on a while back really ruin the experience for those who’re interested in doing things the real way. In my opinion, they’re lucky that Blizzard did not take away their honor gains as well.

Blizz doesn’t give a crap about AV otherwise they would fix the dang thing. Move the horde cave back(they still have basically best map advantage even back there) oh and add the preparation buff

gain the only way would be they were caught scripting, using an AFK script program

Reading this post was a journey!

Love how it al started with salt towards the OP because nobody thought it was possible and then exactly what he said would happen happened…

All we know for sure is that people were banned, not what they were banned for.

We know that a massive ban wave went out and a lot of pvpers were included and that the bans were 8 days representing a full ranking week

It would’ve been better if they just gave them a 3 day Deserter debuff so everyone could see who cheated.

typically afking gains you more rank in 1 week than you would lose from not pvping for 1 week

The funniest thing to me is that the AFKers get more honor than legitimate players since you dont get HK credit when dead

ez fix bring back premades, if people are not going to go after objectives and actually play the bg why should anyone else have to go get farmed.

Untrue, AFKing in a way to “soak” honor from a BG was always an actionable offense in Vanilla WoW. Circumventing a game mechanic (jumping so you don’t get the afk tag) is obvious and deliberate. It hasn’t been in classic outside of the ineffective report AFK feature, but the reason we have report AFK was because the GM force couldn’t handle the high number of reports on this issue alone.

See the link right above your post. Banned for afk, confirmed by a blue.
