This is actually a bit upsetting that the blizzard balance 6month card doesn’t work for the promotion. I purchased one on the 20th and definitely not getting it. Contacted support and you guys only want credit cards not game cards or blizzard balance.
This stinks of “GOTCHA” style of business. Disheartening as a long supporter. FIX.

This promotion for the Sylverian Dreamer is specifically for 6 month subscriptions. Game time purchases are not the same, and are not considered eligible. This is not something we are going to be able to fix for you since it is how the promotion is intended to work.
If you want to use your WOW Tokens for Balance, you can use that Balance to purchase the mount separately from the shop. The mount will remain available after the subscription bundle promotion has ended, so you can grab it in the future if you’d like.
Dreadwake was the same thing then got fixed to be for game time as well. Don’t you feel it’s a bit gotcha to place money in blizzard balance?

No, it was not. The Dreadwake promotion was specifically for 180 days of Game Time, not subscriptions. So there would have been no need to fix it for game time users since that is how it was launched.

Did they say “Customer Support” or just “the forums”? The people in charge of these promotions don’t really frequent the support forums for player feedback or complaints.

I apologize if there was any misunderstanding then Fayths. As you can see from the blog, the Dreadwake promotion launched as a promotion for Game Time purchases and granted retroactive credit for Game Time purchases made in the prior 30 days.
That being said, the General Discussion forums are a place you can voice suggestions for the game or provide feedback about promotions like this.
My main problem with this is that it doesn’t say anywhere on the subscription page at all that you can’t use Battlenet balance for it. Didn’t find out until i bought $90 worth and tried to use it. Didn’t know why it wasn’t showing as a payment method until I came here. Really sucks that Blizzard couldn’t be bothered to mention that restriction anywhere.
They did, it says subscription only… That isn’t what game time is, game time is NOT a subscription.
I converted the token to Battlenet balance and tried to do it that way. Nowhere does it mention a balance restriction.
It says SUBSCRIPTION, Game time bought by balance or other means is not a Subscription.
