I admit it had been a while since I had done a race change or anything like that, but I took advantage of it when I unlocked Zandalari to make the shaman I’d roleplayed as one (before I knew we were actually getting one) to actually be one. Now, I did this with the debit card, and so in addition to the $17.50 (thank the Void for sales), it added about a dollar for the tax. All well and good.
The question I have springing to mind is if the Blizzard Balance is affected by this at all - as that’s how I’ve (usually) done these things in the past. Say for instance I’ve got a trio of characters - I want to boost one, race change the second, and sex change the third, that’s $60, $25, and $15, in that order…would I be able to just put a flat $100 into Blizzard Balance to cover all this, or am I going to have to start factoring in taxes when I put the balance in?
Apologies if I sound like a complete idiot here, but admittedly, taxes are not something I’ve typically dealt with outside of buying the games themselves.
It is not Blizzard charging you. Think of the Blizzard Balance as a gift card you received. You are still taxed on purchases with it, despite it being a gift card.
I know this is a little delayed, but you should be able to work your way through each transaction you want to commit to and check what the final total is before you hit “pay,” or… whatever the confirmation button says. You’d think I would know since I just bought a couple tokens the other night…
You can cancel out at the last moment, and then just add up the figures.
Haha noice catch. That made me smile. And he shall now forever be called Perk by the CS forum lol.
That is my contributiin to you, the community
