Since trying to submit a Blizzard ticket is like trying to reach a real person in an automated telephone directory, I am seeking help here.
I am trying to link an authenticator to my account. You get two free bag spaces in WOW Forever, and you can type into the dungeon group finder in WOW classic if you do.
Here are the steps from Blizzard:
- If you haven’t yet, download the Battle.net Mobile App to your phone
- Open the app and when prompted, log in with your Battle.net Account
- You will be prompted to enable the Battle.net Authenticator and to set up Battle.net Phone Notifications if you have not yet done so
- If you need to set up Battle.net Phone Notifications, a security code will be sent to your phone for verification
- If you did not previously have an Authenticator attached to your account, and are currently online, you will be kicked from the Battle.net desktop app, the game, and any mobile apps you are logged into
- You will be prompted to enable the Battle.net Authenticator and to set up Battle.net Phone Notifications if you have not yet done so
- If you are not prompted to enable the Authenticator:
- Open the slide out menu by tapping the icon at the top left of your screen
- Click on “Authenticator”
- Wait for the setup to complete
Congratulations, your Battle.net Account is now linked to your unique Authenticator Serial Number and fully protected.
I have deleted and reinstalled my authenticator multiple times.
When I log in, I get no requests on the authenticator. I open the side menu and click on “Authenticator” and there is nothing there either.
When I get to step 3 above, there is no request and step 4 never completes.
Does anyone have any ideas, or is it just a waste of time trying to link an authenticator to your account?
Thank You
