i’ll just leave it here, in hopes blizzard will change their mind

nightborne players won’t suffer for another entire expansion of being a joke in terms of customization

I think the thing that gets me is how they said there wouldn’t be any more customizations, and then went on to say how much they all enjoyed customizing their characters when the change went live, as if to rub it in the face of everyone who barely got anything (cough, cough, Nightborne). How can they really be that dense and insensitive? Yes, the new customizations were immensely popular, and the ones we got were good, but there is so much more that needs to be done. The customizations that did come out were very unevenly distributed among the races, and it’s unfair and downright shameful how few options some races were given. That’s why they have the responsibility to fulfill their previous promise to continue with them. Anything else is a slap in the face.

Exactly, i just felt disrespected in all of it
Also why won’t blizzard just hire specific team to work on customization, since EVERYONE liked the prepatch customization, it was so well received so why stop making it especially when most races didn’t got customizations to begin with? something seems wrong

Blizzard: Everyone loves this feature we should do me.

Accountants: No.

Blizzard: Why would you guys even expect more customisation? I think we did great and we have nothing more we feel we could at at this point.

Players: WTF?!?!

i find it weird how a feature that really everyone likes, has so much positivity to it they decide to not even 1 patch later just give up on it
but features that lets say… not at their best like Azerite power they tried to hold on it for entire expansion

such problematic management

All the customization options they added are welcome, they are still way behind other games. In FF14 you get four options for your chin, huge palette of colors for hair, plus highlights. Quite impressive actually. The only way WoW is better than FF14 - in terms of character customization and from what I understand - is that WoW has more races.

FFXIV is dated compared to some games and already 50x above WoW.

I’m a little tired of this statement. I know what I want, I don’t pretend that everyone wants what I want, but I know what I want.

never understood this statement of “you think you want but you don’t”
yeah… thanks for deciding for me, what it really means that “we are lazy to do what the community wants”

nightborne players can agree that we want the same things, we do everything we can to show our goals and ideas we want, dedicated people doing artwork of the concept of their vision how they want nightborne to look like

whats the point of blizzard asking us for feedback in this case if “players don’t know what they want”

Yeah that fundamentally takes away the concept of consent. There isn’t a philosophical difference between you think you want but you don’t to you think you don’t but you do.

There is LITERALLY npc races with more unique appearances then nightborn.

its an mmo, you people constantly tell me customization is the point though?

and yet here we are today, almost 3 years later trying to letting them know that nightborne and allied races alike lack big time in customization
no words from blizzard, no communication, no acknowledgement

to the point now we need chase their attention just so they will hear us
wish we could at least communicate with them but eh

Just don’t play it if you hate it so much. If you spent 15 a month on cable TV movies, 80 % of them are a waste. With wow you get to play for years or a day. No one is twisting your arm to pay for it. I’m am often not happy about various things in the game but I’m not going to freak out about it.

There are reason why I play this game. Perhaps bother with your own things instead of trolling.

I feel for everyone who wanted customization in SL, I really do. I wanted more myself.

Look at the state of SL though. First major patch is going to land somewhere between July and September. They are so far behind that if they keep it up we won’t get a 9.3 before they just cut their losses and move onto the next shiny xpac.

The situation is a lot more dire than most people are talking about.

So far we have none of the following coming next patch:

  • Tier sets, or even class themed armor
  • Individual covenant hall campaigns
  • A new zone (they are moving assets into the pre existing Maw)
  • New BG or Arena maps

Basically it’s just a new raid, a recoloured daily zone and a new dungeon. They didn’t even have a fly over or screenshots of the raid or dungeon yet. They are so far behind that we are going to be lucky to get content, let alone customization.

Compare this to Legion where each patch had a main story, and a class story, tier sets and new cosmetics to chase, on top of raids dungeons and the like. 7.2 was a thing (boo) but other than that they hit content consistently and offered up lots of ways to add customization.

SL is in trouble fam. Serious trouble.

2 filler xpacs in a row? We might just be done of getting real content from blizzard… I guess WoW might actually finally be “Dead”

Like 9.1 should release next months at most… their budget must’ve gotten severely slashed. Reskinned content, cancelled content. Did they just get a 90% slash to their dev budget? Where they putting that money? Probably pocketing it.

This is almost as bad as 6.1 which I thought was the worse patch we’ll ever get.

What are they doing!!! Even with a limited budget? Did they just close down shop? they pushed out more content during the worst of covid and now covid is getting better so that’s not an excuse.

I guess legion was the last great expansion.

Maybe It’s like WoD where 99% of their resources are directed to a future expansion and this is just to “hold us over” but it’s not working.

If we get 2 bad expansions in a row… this could be it for wow. It’ll be put on life support like heroes of the storm.

This dosen’t make any sense in regard to the topic.
Even if we would say that’s the “reason for it”, then why not communicating it Like that?
Sorry does excusrs are not what’s happening and they don’t Make any sende in regards to customization.
