I know there’s a lot of hate going around in the forums with people constantly putting down the Dev team and the hard working folks over at Blizzard, but I’d just like to say that you guys are doing an incredible job with the season!

When people cried about how OP things like MM or Sub rogue was at the start of the season, you guys handled it really well.

When people said they wanted a new meta switch, you guys released 9.0.5 and made BM hunters and Holy Priests relevant again along with several other specs.

Even aside from balancing, the new Shadowlands arena maps look great as well and I can’t wait to see what the future of WoW Arena is going to look like.

So from me and and everyone else in the PvP community, thank you for all the hard work you’ve done this year!

Agreed. I too would especially like to commend Blizzard for delivering one of the most fun PVP experiences during a freakin’ global pandemic no less. Well done guys. Top notch stuff. Ya did us proud!

This is what the people hating on Blizzard fail to recognize, this pandemic has hurt a lot of people financially and Blizzard took it upon themselves to work during these trying times to push out an excellent product for us to enjoy during these times.

Not sure why people aren’t more thankful :man_shrugging:

I’m thankful as all heck right now, I would’ve gone crazy during this pandemic without a quality wow expansion like this to sink my time enjoyably into

I’m an Enterprise architect leading probably about 300 people in a major Fortune 100 Dev Team (eg, entire business unit.). 20 years of software engineering. Have major initiatives completed across 2 F100 corporations.

Blizzard’s dev team is horrible.

My professional opinion.

If your professional opinion, what could you do better if you were on the WoW dev team? You have to understand that they are a multi-billion dollar corpo who has decades of hits during their time that most companies would die to have a piece of, so I think for their size and power they are continually delivering a fantastic product :man_shrugging:

I could give suggestions. I don’t work for free. If they want my opinion, reach out to me, fire up a contract.

Oh. I should probably mention - I’d never work in game dev at any price. So - It’s a losing ask. I have a very low opinion of game developers.

Yikes, game devs are great man. You’re actively posting on a forum designed for a game by those same devs you’re insulting, maybe you should take your “professional opinion” elsewhere if you can’t even come up with suggestions behind your claims :roll_eyes:

If game devs were/are so great why do they deal with crunch + get paid half of what they’re worth.

Your argument is now dead.

My teams - we don’t deal with crunch. We’re competent. I’m done here. I’ve proven my point.

What has your team done?

Blizzard’s team has created Overwatch, which won Game of the Year in 2016. Diablo. Starcraft. Warcraft. And of course, World of Warcraft, one of the most popular games of all time.

To say “Blizzard’s dev team is horrible” just comes off as incredibly jaded at this point.

He’s proven that some companies don’t operate like Toys R Us trying to milk a brand for everything it’s got. They actually care about making a quality product.

Did you miss Diablo 3 launch? Warcraft Reforged? How about all the bugs in BFA and SL? Bad enough we have hardly any tuning but they still have the mindcontrol bug out there.

I get it. It’s the pandemic. And they need to rush this product out fast for their investors. But with the millions they make couldn’t they hire at least one guy for quality control?
