You have a report button! let them make the determination! thats what theyre here for thankfully.
It does matter if itâs accurate, because an insult has to be inaccurate or a pejorative to be an insult in the first place. For some behaviors there is no way to talk about them in a way that is simultaneously accurate and completely without any inflammatory connotation⌠because the behavior is inflammatory by nature. In those cases the person behaving in those toxic ways is insulting themselves, essentially.
Also, from a design perspective, having two methods of grouping/matchmaking is not good unless you have an enormous playerbase.
This is the whole reason why they made it so you have to be queued in the new LFG tool to post in LFG chat. They donât want the effective pool to be fragmented in such a way that people canât find each other.
This more than anything is the reason RDF and no-RDF probably canât really co-exist. There probably just arenât enough players to support both.
so thats not how that works, but this is all going to play out regardless, thats why we have a reporting function!
I agree with this!
I mean it is how it works. Do you actually believe that people should be able to behave in whatever nasty, selfish, toxic ways they want, and making a note of those disgusting behaviors literally at all is what should be punishable? Because that is the only possible outcome given it is not possible to describe a universally disapproved of behavior without that description being negative.
Can you show me in the CoC where it says it only counts as harassment if itâs not accurate? Iâll wait.
Are you changing the definition of insult now?
in¡sult
*verb*
/inËsÉlt/
1. speak to or treat with disrespect or scornful abuse.
First page of google.

to affect as an affront; offend or demean.
Dictionary dotcom.
Can we please refrain from making up definitions to words? No where does it mention an insult must be inaccurate.
Absolutely not! and like i pointed out, the report function is there. Its not us you need to convince, and if this is all common knowledge im sure the mods are high tailing it in here to agree with you as we speak.
Not disrespectful or scornful if itâs accurate.
Again, not insolent, indignant, or contemptuous if itâs accurate. All these things can be additionally true, but in the case of an accurate description they are not a requirement. An utterly dispassionate AI would still have to use terms which carry negative connotations at times because at times those are the accurate terms to use, even despite them being incapable of any judgement.
like i said if and when you do catch a vacay you can absolutely write up a clearly worded defense in your appeal!
I know your mind is completely racing right now, but sincerely take a step back and look at yourself and how youâre acting here. Like, câmon. Seriously. You are at least ten years past the point where you should have been acting like an adult.
Yes, it is. Do I really have to cite definitions of disrespectful and scornful for you?
dis¡re¡spect¡ful
/ËdisrÉËspek(t)fÉl/
adjective
- showing a lack of respect or courtesy; impolite
Again, no mention of accuracy in this definition.
scorn¡ful
/ËskĂ´rnfÉl/
adjective
- feeling or expressing contempt or derision.
None here either. Words are real things you know. They have actual meanings. You donât simply make them up from conversation to conversation.
Do I REALLY have to cite these definitions too?
You claim itâs all about socialization. Youâre already getting all the great and wonderful socialization that comes from manually forming a group. That should be sufficient reward for you. Those who use the rdf lose out on all of that socialization. In your eyes that should be enough of a penalty. Or is all the claims from those against the rdf about socialization just a lie.
Canât it be both?
What if I want to keep manual grouping to preserve the social fabric of the game experience, and also want to stay competitive on progression?
I am always going to advocate against something that undermines that.
My solution: eliminate dungeons.
Isnât that a social interaction that you want in the game. We could ignore you but then you wouldnât get any of social interaction you desire so much that you want to force us to engage by eliminating rdf. Social interaction isnât just kind and supportive. It can be critical, scornful, or disrespectful. If you think itâs good to force people to socially interact with you you canât complain that you donât like how they socially interact. You have to accept the social interaction you get.
When have I ever shown this is the social interaction I want in the game?
You donât get to pick and choose how other people socially interact. They arenât your slaves or your puppets. You donât control them. Those against rdf have forced us to manually form groups, claiming itâs good for socialization. Donât be surprised at the type of socialization you get because of that.
Yes you do. We literally have a CoC and EULA that we must abide by when it comes to social interactions. What on earth are you talking about?
People forget about this! lol.
