What’s wrong with separating xp-off twinks?
Raises queue times for one group of people. Blizzard has a lot of balance changes in the works for the patch regarding low level pvp.
There is only one real complaint, and that’s the time-in-queue one. Which is self-correcting. If you want a faster bg queue time, turn xp back on. Its right up there with “I keep getting ganked in WM while I level”, to which the response always is…?
It isn’t only that people get some personal gratification from smashing untwinked players, I imagine they also gain increases in their Prestige levels? But personally I’d find it a very dull way to do that, very grindy.
I am all in favour of xp-off players being only queued with other xp-off players. If they want to smash each other, go for it. I’ve been levelling a Priest through the level 80’s backet and I’ve met up with a few of them who make the whole experience so unbalanced as to be ridiculous. I cannot imagine that it was Blizzard’s intention for the bg experience to be that way.
This might shock you, but 99.9% of the on-topic posts in these threads are regurgitated from the last few posts of the same topic. It’s not nice to point fingers when you are all doing the same thing.
Nothing. Even those who were separated said that queue times were a non-issue. It’s a few people who are incapable of PVPing unless they know casual levelers are in the mix for fodder purposes.
It’s not, which is why they are making changes to gear coming up. One other thing they may need to look into is gem stacking.
The smaller brackets, 19/29, sure. But there’s many more brackets than those 2.
They can make twink brackets as follows
L19,29,39 in one bracket 49,59,69 in another etc…
That’s impossible due to talents…
Or perhaps do something as simple as have an automatic switch on for experience when a bg pops, and when you leave you have to go turn it back off again. Similar to the fix for hunter pets growl feature.
That would be a very easy fix. Eventually the character would go over into the next bracket and any advantage would be lost, I’d assume.

So you’re fine with completely destroying characters that players have invested time into because they enjoy it just so people who are passing through will have it a little easier?
Why not advocate for better balance that doesn’t destroy a playstyle that has always existed in this game?

Because you get certain talents at certain levels. You can’t be 19 and have the level 20s abilities unlocked.
Who said anything about unlocking talents. Are you saying it would be unfair?
You have to reach a certain level for certain abilities. Take 19 for instance, the 29s and 39s would have so many more abilities unlocked. Not to mention even just using a mount.
