Blizz to Shadow Priests

Not a priest of any kind but to be honest once we start losing our azerite and corruption pieces we are all going to get weaker for a bit until we start getting our covenant abilities and soul binds.

Problem with this is as other people have pointed out , all this borrowed power is what now makes our classes/specs powerful and to be honest it feels bad.

We should already be powerful because of all the world destroying baddies we have defeated like Hogger and all the Kobolds in mines with their evil candles or not to forget Murloc menace.

All kidding aside all of this borrowed power should not make us feel complete , it should just enhance a complete tool kit that we don’t but should have.

We’re not talking about legion are we? If this were legion I would accept your viewpoint. But you don’t play spriest in BfA so how can you expect me to take you seriously?

Uhh I would say anyone who has done heroic raiding even. Basically if you’ve done any form of endgame content, and the longer you’ve played the better. It’s like if you have a professional in your field, and then a high school student who has read a couple articles on the subject. Which person would you go to for information and trust to be right?

Take off all your gear then.

SPriest has felt awkward to me for years.

Voidform is awkward

Shadow Orbs were awkward.

They tried to make Mind Spike a thing. Don’t try that.

Well Ive done a bit of heroic raiding…does that mean my opinion actually counts for something?

Buzz off bee…

To be fair I don’t blame him for not playing his shadow priest. Playing shadow priest in its current state is masochism.

How has shadow priest design changed to such a significant degree to where my knowledge and experience with the class isn’t useful? In fact, having played shadow for so long I have a wealth of knowledge about the class, where it has been, where it is now, and where it might go.

You’re making excuses.

I am serious because talents are the same thing as azeratie traits and essences.

You complain about how you need X trait and X essence to do good.

That same argument is used for talents

Not my fault people flocked to that phrase after some youtubers/twitch gents/gals did. When they don’t even understand how they are the same as talents.

It’s the same argument.

Or at the very least make it instant cast or trigger automatically.

But the OP has a valid point. Classes should feel complete without borrowed powers. Shadow has been guilty of this for two expansions, where it feels hollow without external sources.

I’m not sure I haven’t played shadow since 8.0 so I won’t pretend to comment on it.

As long as you are doing current content, yes. And the harder the difficulty that you play the more weight your opinion holds

When are you ever playing it without borrowed powers though? The first couple weeks of an xpac?

What Blizzard has done to Shadow Priest should be considered a crime against humanity.

Lol? I guess dropping Voidform early because you can’t always chain-pull in m+ was a good experience? I guess dropping Voidform early because mobs die before you get into it was a good experience? I guess having to switch to Holy for the “kill 100 imp” quest because you had no AE spell was a good experience?

Shadow was cool in raids, but it was a chore everywhere else. Get real.

Blizz to every other class besides Warlocks: “we love you”

Is this a joke? Do you know what destro locks are doing to the arena ladder?

The fact that Shudder was aware of Shadow’s condition after Legion is proof that he did play it during BfA albeit briefly.

Why exactly do you feel the need to toss out his opinion, solely because he’s not maining it in BfA? He mained it during Legion, and he’s aware of the problems it is now having. Outside of borrowed power being removed, I can’t name a single spec that was fundamentally changed in BfA. The core ideas (bad as they often are) are still the same.

Destro is the epitome of awful class design. Boring, mind-numbing two-button rotation. Just because they’re performing well doesn’t mean they’re fun to play, and bear in mind you’re forced into playing destro cause both affliction and demonology is garbage for arena.

Is this a joke? They’re doing fine damage or what ever, but that doesn’t mean the class is fun to play. besides what do arena brackets now have to do with the non existent changes Warlocks need in SL? Besides, BESIDES, what do a small % of players in a subsection of the game matter in the grand scheme of things… when the class itself is boring and broken? On top of that Locks were a joke in PvP for the first half of BfA, and are ending in an ok spot… just like they do in every expansion. But I’m not talking about that, I’m talking about how the class just doesn’t feel fun or interesting, just like Demo or Aff.
