If you wanna see an annoying trade chat, go make a toon on Illidan horde without the Block Chinese addon. Only then will you understand spam.

Selling in-game gold or services for real money is against the rules and therefore not a valid translation to advertise. That makes it spam.

Trading in-game services for in-game gold is a perfectly valid transaction and entirely within the ryles of the game. There’s no difference between this type of advertisement and someone trying to sell mats/BOEs.

pretty easy to see that the posting character, and the character they linked both belong to the same player.
are you scared to click on blizzards own internal links, too?

Blizzard has said this is acceptable, as the service is being paid for with in-game currency and not cash.

Can be a bigger or a smallest spam, more or less annoying, but both could be considered spam, and spam it’s not allowed no matter how bad can be. Of course, will be different grades of penalty according at how annoying or ilegitamate was the spam, but always will be a penalty, anyway.

Now this surprise me, there is chinese people in a US realm?

You’re prevented from spamming in trade for some extent. There’s a limit to how many comments in a certain period of time you can create. You can report for spamming and they can get squelched. But it’s ultimately up to Blizz as to whether or not it’s legitimate to ban after that.

You’ve never heard of imgur?? It pretty much became the most popular picture hosting site the day photobucket decided to start charging for the ability to hotlink pictures. I’d consider it just as safe to visit as these forums are.

Install this addon and move on with your day. By the time Blizzard handles any report on a spammer, that character will most likely have been deleted and they have moved on to another throwaway character.

I too am on Stormrage, I got the addon Global Ignore, because I ran out of in game ignores(they allow you 75 roflmao so laughable) and I simply right click, and poof they’re gone. It helps to cut down on some of the clutter that is our server trade chat. lol
