Been playing every day of the stress test and it was smooth. That was with only one server. Plus I dont think they had layering enabled. I dont expect any problems on launch. I stated this in my OP post.
I have to say that I would love to keep playing me toon this round but it’s done. It was a good prep and reminder 'o the good time to come! Cya on the 26th!

They release it on Tuesday for 2 reasons.
- Releasing on Tuesday allows a full staff to assist with IT/service issues. If they released over the weekend, they would not have full staff working to resolve issues.
- Releasing on Tuesday allows them to account for sales for most of the week. Although many purchase online, stores promote what is currently available and this gives them an extra 4 days of sales numbers from stores.
How about you push the release date back to Oct 25 because that’s when I get out of basic training.

In practice if they wanted to launch early, this wouldn’t be a reason to not do so. It matters only to a genuinely small percentage.
I don’t understand this logic. Wanting a weekend launch has nothing to do dabbling or having a job. Many people are very committed to things that they don’t take time off of work for. Many people work and don’t want to risk their jobs by taking time off.
Now, do I think they should change the date? No, I don’t. Its going to help massively with inflow issues.
I just think I’ve seen better arguments that don’t resort to veiled ad hominem sentiments.

Yes, it literally is. It would be a breach of faith. They told us when the Release Date was, and your petulant impatience is not worth them breaking that faith.

It should have released back in JUNE when students had the entire summer to play. What a major missed opportunity here.
They make so much money…Have a staff available on the weekend. Weekday only is weakday.
Realistically, this sounds good on paper but not in practice.
Very few people want a job that’s only two days a week for the weekend. Somewhat more people want a job enough that they’ll give up their weekends for a different two day weekend. No one wants a job that goes seven days a week.
So… how do you hire as many people as you have on tuesday that will work on the weekend, without fracturing your employee base in a way that means you never have 100% of your work force available at all times, and they’re happy?
Duh its called overtime? What are you talking about? If you think I said hire someone just for a weekend that would be stupid. Pay your people some overtime and force them to work a weekend once in a while.
Trucker here. I managed to play wow quite regularly while OTR for 5 years. Using my 30 min break or 10hr rest to get game time in. I took a week off for launch.
Not sure how safe it would be to use your 30 driving break for a video game but hey you know yourself. I use to drive for Budweiser then went to coca cola. But it was a lot different back then.
