I got one!
Those same smart people just figure out items to carry over instead that will maximize their value. (One example might be gems and ore, since anyone leveling up jewelcrafting would have an early need - though that is the obvious one that will probably glut the market.)
It is a lot harder to find 10k gold worth of mats that will matter to TBC players than it would to transfer their gold around and copy multiple toons. You do have a point - but i feel this would only impact the start of the game, not create a monopoly like the raw gold would.
It ends at WotLK because there was no
Warcraft IV “Big fat dragon with artificial jaw breaks the world”
Or because there was millions of subs lost.
Yea, because “Big fat dragon with artificial jaw breaks the world”
which was followed by “KungFu Panda and friends play WoW and break more”
It is indeed coming and with all the options presented in the survey they will most likely do something like this. The most seamless transition i could imagine is this pop up "Congratulations you’ve achieved level 60! would you like to progress to the next expansion? if you choose this option your character will stay here in classic as it currently is but we will create a copy of it on a layer where you can only see other players who have also chosen this option. Disclaimer- all trade materials and gold will not be transferred with your character"
Uhh, sure, it absolutely wasn’t because the world was butchered, classes gaining systems that weren’t needed (holy power) and heroic dungeons becoming mini raids.
MoP on the other hand… Asian theme didn’t help.
That is the world.
My toons were fubar after that, and though i did try, i could not make them fun and interesting to play again.
And now those toons are part of an ever breaking world, because it just never seemed to stop.
Obviously there are a lot of people that like it, but for me the entire world was broken, nearly every aspect of it.
I feel ya buddy it sucks.
