Blizz introduces legendary-quality pets

But after completing the quest line, you’re only allowed to choose one pet to receive this huge stat boost. Which pet do you make legendary and why?

Twilight Fiendling.

They’ll never know what hit them.

Elekk Plushie, because it’s funny.

I stop pet collecting.

This is a terrible, terrible, idea. If I dont stop collecting outright I know exactly what pet I’m going to boost… but I’ll be damned if I tell y’all!

Is this for real? Have they actually decided to do this? I mean… it’s not like pet breeding where it was on the table for a long time but then yanked it off?

I think this is a hypothetical question. Haven’t heard any official announcement that we’re getting legendary quality pets.

If I were to pick, it would have to be a pet that served me a lot.

A huge stat boost on Anubisath Idol would be interesting. It would correct his deficiencies, like his low power stat. Thanks to his huge health and innate humanoid healing factor, he’s hard enough to take down as it is. A boost in power would allow him to take down his opponents faster.

But I would say, as a PvEer, my pick would be Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. He’s fast enough, but even a boost in health and power would make him pretty devastating.

Yeah, this is a hypothetical fun topic, people. Relax and play pretend.

Ok if that’s the case, I’d boost Willy. His moves are so self-synergistic and if he got a speed boost, hed be crazy powerful.

Mech Pandaren Dragonling or an Iron Starlette since I seem to use those a lot.

Though, to expand on this, I would accept Epic and Legendary Stones, under one condition:

They could ONLY be applied to pets that cannot battle. And using them on those pets elevate them to level 25, and grant them extra AESTHETIC effects, unique to each pet.

For instance, if you use an epic stone on a balloon pet, the string is changed to a curled ribbon. A legendary stone on a balloon pet turns the string into a curled ribbon with a bow.

Considering there’s only:

  1. Alliance/Horde/Darkmoon/Wolf/Murloc/Horse Balloon - Would Share Customization
  2. Argent Squire/Gruntling - Would Share Customization
  3. Blorp
  4. Chi-Ji/Yu’lon Kite - Would Share Customization - Possibly with Balloons?
  5. Dutiful Squire/Gruntling - Would Share Customization
  6. Guild Heralds - Would Share Customization
  7. Guild Pages - Would Share Customization
  8. K’ute
  9. Mystical Spring Bouquet
  10. Nethaera’s Light
  11. Sky Lantern
  12. Uuna
  13. Wondrous Wisdomball

That’s not even that big of a work load for the artists, essentially just 26 small customizations to existing pets. (though there’s a lot of balloons, it’d just be altering the strings that are shared between them).

Just make the Epic/Legendary Stones hard to get, but something we can work towards. Like a new currency, that isn’t RNG based. Like a monthly/bi-monthly quest to complete X Pet Battle Dungeons will net you one. Then the epic stone could be like, “Complete 2-3 Pet Battle Dungeons without healing between them.”

I’d have to elevate the Wondrous Wisdomball to the status it truly deserves.

Or an Ancona Chicken.

The two pet(s) I use the most are the Zandalari dinosaurs that have Black Claw and Hunting Party ; or Nordrassil Wisps with their blinding + double damage to blinded opponents combo.

But I might even apply a Legendary Boost to Shadow, the shop bought (during a Red Cross donation promotion) simply because the little fox pup is adorable with his/her forehead rune and how he/she shifts color depending on situations in the fight (usually purple but sometimes goes glowing gold).

They actually did want to do this ages ago, and rightly so was enough outrage that they didn’t. Thank goodness.

Stunted direhorn would be redic.

The new balloons. They’d still be a useless ticket/time sink.

How about working to get legendary stones that will change a non-combat pet into a combat pet?

If it only applied to 1 pet BUT it could be reset so you could earn a new stone every month or so and use it to change which pet was leg. THEN it might be an acceptable idea.

I’d probably pick the Emperor Crab. I don’t use it as much as I used to anymore, but IMO anything with ‘Emperor’ in the name deserves the status! :grinning:
