It all depends in the circumstances I would imagine. If people are just quietly holding their signs or wearing pro-hong kong shirts I can’t see them making a fuss.
Then again it is their event and their rules. They may not want politics there. Never been to one so I don’t know what the protocols are.
Blizz employees covered up those words today in silent protest. It sucks cause they don’t want to lose their jobs, but they aren’t happy with what is going on.

My complaints with Blizzard have never been the every day guys… Ever… God Bless every one of those guys that covered up those words.
Oh so they’d have to make games with less of a focus on microtransactions, censor less, and focus more on monthly subscribers than daily activity?
How is that a bad thing again?
They didn’t have a problem with the “diversity” panel at last year’s BlizzCon (gag). They are entirely fine with politics, so long as they politically agree with them. Kind of like how they are fine with China crushing the freedom of millions so long as they can make a quick buck.

imagine getting thrown out for wearing the flag of a nation with western values
if this PR slipup is getting so much backlash, imagine how much that would get.

Stop talking about military. Nobody is going to war over a video game dude.
Oh I know, but people on twitter don’t understand that sometimes and just start attacking anyone over it. Full blame should be on Kotick.

Well balls. I never saw the video before. Thank you.
DUDE and reaching more people than if I were on my local street with a sign DUDE. Duuude!
Oh god please let Blizzcon be a dumpster fire. I do adore WoW but there’s nothing better than internet drama. If Blizz actually throws people out for supporting HK that’d be way too funny.

They said we have nothing to worry about China. Obviously that statement was about more than a video game. Obviously no one is going to war over a video game Val.
The guy in the pic wasn’t run over but there were hundreds who were and there ARE photos of that. That one guy just represents resistance.
China is ranked 3, behind Russia and the US for 2018, and still is rank 3 in 2019
I can see that. It is a growing trend in this country sadly enough.
Yeah, I just found the video. It was actually fairly comical.
No it isn’t silly to blame Blizzard. Blame EVERY company who is willing to enact Chinese policy outside of China all for money whether it is the NBA, Blizzard, Vans, etc. ALL of them need to be held accountable.
I’m curious - do you take Pro HK signs to Walmart when you shop, or to the Apple store?

Ahh must have read a wrong article then. All I was trying to point out is that it does go deeper than showing support, you’d need every business on board to overhaul the situation. The Rockets are trying to get Chinese support again after being banned over there for making HK support comments. I’m not sure what could be done other than every business showing solidarity.
I agree, but everyone is in a pitchfork stance against Blizzard and they don’t realize hwo many companies are in bed with China. If everyone stood solid with each other and banned China, then perhaps change could happen. But money and profits and jobs usually stop people. I just usually see both sides of the picture when I type, I do have an illness where my thoughts are jumbled but I still try to convey them concisely.
