Genetically, they’re the same people. Culturally, slightly different but all have deep roots in Christianity.
Not in the slightest. They are genetically distinct, as are all human ethnicities and groups.
No. That kind of died out when protestantism came about. And then there’s the great irony of it not even being their native religion.
Protestantism is Christian. Catholicism is Christian. Are you really trying to deny the role of Christianity in the formation of Europe? White people are the same everywhere. You can go to Germany or America or England or Poland or Russia and find the same race of people all over the place.
You’d be hard pressed to determine the differences looking at them. I mean really, you’re trying to deny that races exist?
Of course, back then they were mostly homogenous societies, much more so than today with immigration.
You’re confusing race and ethnicity.
Maybe so. Hong Kong people are mostly the same race as the majority of Chinese. Let their own brethren sort it out like ours always have. I just think this whole thing is a ridiculous hive mind and the guy was out of line.
The western world is aware of what is going on in Hong Kong. Punishing Blizzard achieves nothing to help Hong Kong.
Who said it did?
Just about every thread in GD and Reddit and even quite a few content creators. Boycotting Blizzard accomplishes nothing.

I don’t really care about Hong Kong as they sure as hell aren’t helping me out. They need to fight their own battles like our ancestors did to form this nation [/quote]
Here’s a man who’s clearly down with genocide, slavery and general human depravity!
Or…hear me out…just a thought, they don’t want political statements to be made at their gaming tournaments. Also this post is spam as mods have been moving everything pertaining to this to a single thread.
Ah, I see, you’re confused. Fact is that isn’t what’s happening. Granted there probably have been a few with that in mind but in general, that isn’t what’s going on.
People are mostly just mad that Blizzard took a stance, and it just so happens that stance was with a country purposely trying to snuff out the protests going on in HK. What’s more, it was an American company that did it. People are showing their displeasure with that stance by attacking this company, Blizzard, in the only way they know how: with their wallet. This isn’t a “pro HK” protest, it’s a “Blizzard, you done screwed up” protest.
Show me one computer or one cell phone that is completely 100% made in the USA …you can’t…some where down the line they will have some product or part in them made in China…or Taiwan…
Damn this was well written
How is it not a pro Hong Kong protest? The big bad evil villain, China, is taking aggressive measures against little brother Hong Kong. Blizzard does business with big bad villain so when a man that plays games professionally, under the Blizzard title, at a Blizzard sponsored tournament, using a microphone and camera that Blizzard paid for, after signing a contract with Blizzard that basically says keep your commentary professional and based around the game and don’t put Blizzard in awkward positions, does just that and breaches the contract.
This guy has been banned from competing in Blizzard events and lost his prize money after breaching the contract by making political statements against the big bad villain, China, who butters some of Blizzard’s bread.
Internet is outraged that this guy got 86’d for making a political statement, which he basically agreed not to do contractually. Blizzard apologizes to China and the internet loses their mind.
What’d I miss?
Most people don’t have brains, that’s why they only realize things now. And why they can only track one Twitter outrage at a time.
This is absolutely true and France provided the money, troops, armament, military leadership, and naval support that tipped the balance of military power in favor of the United States and paved the way for the Continental Army’s ultimate victory.
People are mad life isn’t fair. Boo hoo.
It’s not a pure, pro HK protest. The entire foundation of it is based around a stance Blizzard took. You can protest for HK anywhere but it was Blizzard that decided to side with China and now people are making it known that they disapprove.
Ok? Again, that wasn’t what the outrage is over, at least not entirely. Instead of being diplomatic and openly saying he violated rules for political speech, they heavy handed it and apologized to China. Keep in mind, Blizzard gave this guy a worse punishment then people that have openly cheated during competition.
Yeah, bingo. An American company apologizing for a pro-HK stance. I don’t think people have too much of an issue of someone getting punished over political speech, the issue is they openly took a stance against what was said. That’s like them punishing someone for saying, “Biden 2020” and then apologizing to Trump for the incident.
Undo NAFTA and bring back the manufacturers stateside.
Oh, it’s you again. More irony from someone that lacks brains.
