Blizz, Hong Kong, Freedom of speech, lets have an Adult discussion

I’m not entirely sure how taking away WoW and other Blizzard games from chinese players is going to help their government. What is the goal of a boycott again? Why would china care about less video games? They hate video games. Look at the console ban that lasted until 2016.

Thinking globally is what got America in this mess in the first place. Put America first! That doesn’t mean pillage the rest of the world it just means mind your own business unless someone pokes us.

I don’t really care about Hong Kong as they sure as hell aren’t helping me out. They need to fight their own battles like our ancestors did to form this nation. China will collapse eventually, as all communist nations do.

Blizzard can’t change the government in China and all large corporations basically rely on and do business with China in one way or another. Where was all this American support for Vietnam when we were fighting a communist regime?

Wow, a new and original thread!

Maybe there should be one consolidated thread for all these insightful political views that every wow gamer cares about and can’t wait to read in one place.

Owait…

It would punish blizzard for being money hungry morons who are jumping on the chance of defending indefensible unjust acts because profit

That is why many ppl are coopting blizzard characters from overwatch or wow and adding pro hk symbols in order to make china ban blizzard products and hurt them big time financially

Like charging hundreds of dollars for life saving medications.

This meme has never been this appropriate for this situation

What about the chinese gamers though? You’re advocating destroying all of their communities (it’d be kinda harsh to suddenly be banned from wow, right?) which is just going to add to the negative without much of a positive. Just because Blizzard didn’t support a political stunt that was encouraging illegal activity? Not illegal by our standards, but still illegal there nonetheless.

People say BLIZZARD don’t like politics in their game

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAJAHA

Boy, you have no idea

I find it a little strange that people complain about Chinese players in online games, then pretend to be upset at the concept that China natives are not able to play Blizzard games.

At any rate, this whole debacle has convinced me to renew my subscription for another month.

The Revolutionary War effort had help from France and Poland.

Go back to history class.

Are French and Polish not ancestors of Americans? You should learn to read.

Not as of revolutionary times.

It was just english

There was never large scale french migration to the US. Louisiana is the only state with a surviving French strata. Poland wasn’t until the 1900s.

As of now there are plenty of French and Polish descendants in America. France already had a lot of stake in this land so they also had their own interests in mind.

And? Their ancestors didn’t fight for our independance. It’s being disingenuous.

They’re the same race of people with similar social structures. China is not like the Europeans, very different cultures. It was brother helping brother and they all had their own interests in the effort.

We’ve wasted enough blood and treasures trying to help foreign nations in our history.
