Blizz, Hong Kong, Freedom of speech, lets have an Adult discussion

Well, it is called discussion, and i have given you my view, which you can easily verify by doing some research, and welcome to come back and debate it. Your refusal to seek the truth however, tells me you are inherently biased in this subject to begin with.

There is no point in discussing an issue with a person that refuses to be unbiased, goodbye sir.

I’ve seen the truth, and your full of bullshet

so Blizzard games have plenty of political messages, we got this out of the way, and, yes, I do agree with you Blizzard has all the rights to moderate/filter their content, just wanted to make sure that we are on the same page. Do you want to see Free Palestine, Boycott Israel next? I don’t…

…yeah, people were burning their nikes because the company was making a stand to promote diversity and equality. Of course their stock went up. They did the right thing.

lol, every country does…Australia included.

How many lives equate rule of law? Cannot be changed no matter what? Even if a million people are in danger of losing their freedom?

The problem with the rule that was “broken” is that it applies to literally everything and nothing.

If anything is a violation, then everything is… and when everything is, nothing is, because the rule no longer has any real meaning. It simply applies capriciously to those things you don’t like.

In other words, when you draw a rule so broadly, every application of the rule is “selective”.

It’s impossible to actually keep up with some of the threads since they keep getting moved to this containment thread. gg

:us:

This is an actual tactic of censorship, I’m not even gonna bother responding here.

I’d like to see Free Palestine, Free Tibet, Stop Turks from killing the Kurds, and any other people being oppressed.

It’s called “soft censorship”.

Blizzard being Blizzard.

Apparently, oppressing different kinds of people around the world is American culture nowadays as long as you profit from that so maybe the issue is our government?

I fully support Blitz and am ashamed that I contribute to Blizzard that has forgone human rights and the same democracy they built their company on for the bottom line.

Free Puerto Rico too, and Hawaii and return the lands that belong to Native Americans. It’s always about making other nations do things but the US? nah, the US has never done anything similar or continue to do similar things.

Also free the migrant children the US has in cages currently. No one ever cares about the human rights abuses the US does.

I Stand Hong With Kong

Blizzard totally sides with political views and social conventions all the time, they allow for it in the forums and all throughout every game. They even promote political views such as the choice of characters in OW.

Are you referencing those breaking US laws by entering without permission and are thus detained for their illegal actions?

It’s a fact that what’s happening on Hong Kong is vile and no one should have to live under the shadow of a tyrannical empire, what Blitzchung did takes cajones to say. I’ve been watching this nightmare of a thread for some time now, I hadn’t replied because I got nothing to add that hasn’t been said or I haven’t said before (in any of the multiple threads that got mushed here) But I saw someone who basically said that Palestine and other issues are irrelevant to a discussion about democracy and freedom, no, they aren’t irrelevant just because you don’t want to talk about them, they are as relevant as Hong Kong and if we are to allow people to freely express themselves in blizzard events then every one should be able to demand freedom and democracy to the piece of land they call a home or maybe no one should, you can’t pick and choose what cry for freedom you want to hear, unless of course you think like China.

I find it funny that people are only now starting to realize that company “values” are just PR and mean nothing and all companies should just change their values to “we just want money” since that is the truth

This has been going on for decades now, it isnt new and anyone with the brain knows companies will do ANYTHING for more profit
