No, sorry, I am from Australia. Australian troops apparently shot innocent Afghans, they tried to cover it up, the ABC (the public broadcaster) tried to report it, and the Federal police raided them in response to try and keep the whole crime hush hush.
That’s the whole point of going to the government. We’re not asking them to leave, we’re telling them to leave or face penalties, fines, or worse.
True, as I have mentioned previously in this thread.
South park did.
How is the gun ban working in Australia? Is there more violent crime using other implements? Just curious.
It was “top secret” and “dangerous information to release” apparently rolls eyes
Soooooooo, not a company.
if thats true i condemn it obviously, but what does that have to do with china’s crimes and how police should act?
South park never entered China.
Well the defining cause is mental instability due to a break. Caused by anything from bulling to failing in class or a best friend or a bf/gf break up. Then taking out that rage on everyone.
It wasn’t even about the fact of the money. I get it, support your political stance as you need or wish to but they clearly state in their rules that their platform - THEIR PLATFORM - not his, is not to be used as a political stance.
Thats what colleges, schools, public affairs, website forums DEDICATED to politics are for. Whether or not he was did it well aware of what it could cost it doesn’t matter now.
Question: If it was a white supremacist or ISIS supporter who jumped on a game platform to spread their message, instead of a Free Hong Kong supporter, would you support ‘censoring’ them? Or is it only censorship when you agree with the position?
You know Blizzard f’ed up when both Republican and Democrats are unified on this issue
wanting the freedom to govern yourself is the equivalent of being a terrorist or racist?
I would punish/ban/fine anyone who abused the privilege of a public platform, regardless of the content of their message.
Just because you have been granted access to a game platform/mic, does not give you license to air your personal agenda.
There is an appropriate time and place for such conduct and a gaming contest is not it.
Well Velara, it’s like this…
I am thanking God I no longer live in a lower socio-economic suburb, as although I sometimes get lonely, at least I feel safe here, there’s been a number of people that offered dates and other things back in crazy town where I originally came from, but I would not go back to one of those suburbs for 1000 years, unless I had absolutely no choice, because I simply did not feel safe to walk the streets at night there, like I do where I am living now. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still areas of my new neighborhood that I would avoid, as there’s some peculiar types around still, but overall I feel very safe which is great.
So as long as you don’t go to one of the shady areas of town, you are pretty good. Unfortunately it’s no longer politically correct to point out the obvious fact that there are no-go zones in some of our cities that even police and emergency people are too scared to visit.
Sexual and violent assaults were going down for a while, but now our government is engaging in class warfare crime in certain areas is going up. The truth is, the most likely place you are to get murdered is by one of your friends or someone else you know. Women getting murdered on the street is pretty rare, the biggest danger is if you pick a toxic male as a bf, and try and leave him, he is the most likely person that’s going to kill you.
Had one female friend from QLD go to the shadiest suburb of my city, I warned her not to go, but I’ve never heard from her since she went there, so I’m not going to mourn if she got herself killed, I warned her that she was going to the shady part of town.
Epic Games happy they’re out of the eye of the storm just long enough so they can jump on someone else.
Actually that’s a pretty good example of how sometimes outrage just doesn’t work. Everyone’s raged at Epic Games for months or a year now, gobbling up all the exclusives in a wave of anti-consumer behaviour. Then Borderlands 3 was revealed to do really well, and everyone’s like … wasn’t everyone outraged? It turns out just a small, loud portion of people was outraged.
Oh fun, were trying to compare an ideaology that openly promotes the murder and mass genocide of entire races/ethnicities to wanting things like free press, equal rights, keep your organs. Oh what fun.
Tell me how the banning of someone over a game is blowing this up bigger than it needs to be?
They didn’t directly support Hong Kong
They didn’t directly state they align with China
They removed a player from THEIR game for using THEIR platform as a political stance. Would you like if you as a die-hard Republican/Democrat allowed the other party to use your home as a platform? Lmao just look at wherever someone of the opposing party was both welcomed by some - in this case people aligning with the banned player - and not-so-welcomed by another party.
No one here is trying to deny the death of 8964.
I would like to say the same point between of China and US gov is their army all have killed innocents. The difference is China army did it on its own country once and US army did it in other countries several times.
Would you deny it?
So now I am coufused why you guys asked US gov to boycott China because of human right?
What is your standpoint?
